heres a fun fact. all of the music in the M&L games and its remakes were done by music composer Yoko Shimomura. she did the music for Super Mario RPG and Xenoblade Chronicles, and is also the composer for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts games.

an evil witch named cackletta and her minion fawful from the mushroom kingdom's neighor, the beanbean kingdom, steal princess peach's voice. the mario bros go to the beanbean kingdom to stop cackletta who threatens the kingdom.

the game got a remake for the 3ds

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time for Nintendo DS

Prof. E. Gadd builds a time machine and peach takes a trip to the past, she gets kidnapped by evil alien invaders known as the shroobs, who invaded the kingdom at that time. mario and luigi travel to the past and team up with baby selves (baby mario and baby luigi) to save peach and defeat the shroobs.



Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story For Nintendo DS

Fawful returns and takes control of bowser's forces and brainwashes him into inhaling the mario bros., peach, toadsworth, and other toads into the inside of bowser's body. mario and luigi and their companion starlow must cooperate with bowser (who regained his senses later) to go around the kingdom and fight fawful's forces and stop him from awakening Dark Star. an evil force that has the power to conquer the mushroom kingdom.

the gamer is gonna get a 3ds remake in 2019


Mario and Luigi: Dream Team for Nintendo 3DS. this was released as part of the year of luigi, celebrating his 30th anniversary.

the mario bros and their friends take a vacation to an island called Pi'illo Island, which has a power to put people asleep. after peach gets kidnapped by an evil being known as antasma, mario and luigi mast venture around the island and the dream world in luigi's dreams fighting monsters and bowser and his forces who show up.

Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam for Nintendo 3DS

The Mario and Luigi RPG series and Paper Mario series Crossover. Luigi discovers a book in peach;s castle that contains the Paper Mario world. the characters from paper mario. bowser meets paper bowser and teams up with him to conquer the mushroom kingdom and kidnap peach and paper peach. the mario bros team up with paper mario to stop them. the game wasn't really good but the music was one of the good things in it.


the series is really great and lots of fans enjoy it. ive been playing this series since my elementary days. throughout the series, mario and luig use their jumps, hammers, and other abilities to go around the kingdom and use various bros attacks against enemies.

The composer for some of these games is Yoko Shimomura who's known for her works in Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Street Fighter II, and even Super Mario RPG.

Also, the remake of Super Star Saga is great. Not a lot changed but a lot of things were made a lot less strenuous and added many quality improvements. The music, however, was not greatly remastered, but I'll admit that getting the original songs was a nice treat.

It was alright, but I was at an age where I was getting a bit older for portable titles. Only had the first two, but never beat either.

In Superstar Saga I was stalled at that Ice Fortress for many years, and only ended up clearing on when I heard the Koopalings were actually fucking in the game. This was their first appearance in a Nintendo-Produced Mario game since Super Mario World. I mean, today, they are officially un-retired, but if I had played through and discovered them in '04 or whenever the game came out, I would have been pleasantly surprised. But I still never beat the final boss.

Partners in Time I was willing to give a chance, but it quickly became apparant why I wasn't really liking this gameplay. Controlling Mario & Luigi with separate buttons was hard enough, and now I have four different command buttons. I have no recollection of where and how far I got.

Never got any others, but it was nice to hear Paper Mario crossed over with it. Probably the best game featuring Paper Mario since TTYD.

(and this will be off topic, but I LOVED Paper Mario so much! TTYD was my Mario RPG fix. Not as good as the real SMRPG, but totally stacked up.)

Original M&L still has my favorite random battle music of any RPG. It’s just so stupid and upbeat it fits the situation perfectly. Got a neat cover in Paper Jam too although you only hear it like once.

Speaking of which it’s worth looking up a paper jam speedrun if you’ve got 45 minutes to kill. It’s got some pretty funny and massively gamebreaking bugs, although that’s probably implied by it being 45 minutes.

I'm a huge sucker for the first three games (haven't had the chance to play the others yet). Superstar Saga is easily my favorite. The sprites were cute and colorful, and exploring the BeanBean Kingdom was cool. The Bros. attacks were also pretty fun to use, especially the advanced versions of Chopper and Knockback bros. Though, the only thing about the game that's kinda eh that the game is really easy, especially if you have the advanced mush badge (forgot the name). That thing breaks the game. Well, I guess it is a kid's game, but it's still fun!

I've always found it much more game breaking to equip the Greed Wallet and Bonus Ring as soon as Starbeans Cafe opens. Then not only do you get double coins from battles no matter what, you can also double the exp. both brothers receive if you don't take damage. After that it becomes really easy to become overlevelled and crazy powerful. And with all the coins you stock up on you can happily swap out the Greed Wallet for the Gameboy Horror SP and still don't have to worry about the cost of items and equips.

Browsers inside story is my favrioute as I personally feel it carried the characterisation the best. But to be fair I only played that and got half way through superstar before getting busy and forgetting about it.

An inside story remake sounds great though.

this was in the original from the GBA and remained in the 3ds remake, i have no idea how nintendo got away with this, but lots of SJWS would be REEEEEEEEEEing about it if they noticed at that time
