The Megan E-mails -

I was reading the Megan e-mails last night. You know, I know how many tend to think she was using him for eBay purchases and the like. But the tone of her messages suggest that she was trying to be friends with him and making a pretty honest effort to maintain a friendship, even as the man-child got all touchy with her.

Frankly, she seemed to enjoy his company up to a point but realized he wanted much, much more from her. That's why she was in stand-off mode for much of their time together. Like Marvin and other Christorians have mentioned, Chris is at his best when he trolls himself. Megan will always be exhibit A because of the sloppy way he handled everything and was obvious that he wanted to bone her.

The series of pathetic e-mails when she was in Kentucky are the best. Just pathetic missive after pathetic missive. Then she gets pissed because he went to far.

All in all, still the best saga because Chris's ineptitude in social relations is on full display.

I agree, people tend to make a big deal out of Chris buying her stuff from ebay, but it seems that she simply didnt have any way of making online payments and she just reimbursed him the money.

You know, I was in that situation too, and sometimes a friend of mine would buy some of this Humble Bundle collections of indie games and buy another one for me if I was interested, since they were pretty cheap, the deal was to just pay him a couple of beers next time we hang out.

I think Megan was probably the most honest friend Chris ever had, and she had the patient of a saint with him. And we all know how that ended.

Still, Pear-head still thinks he really didnt anything wrong ("Im just misunderstood! BAAAW!") and even had the balls to recently accuse her of being a troll and triyng to dox her...

The Megan Saga will always be one of my favorites. I remember reading those emails, and couldn't believe how desperate and pathetic Chris was.

And I agree that she really was the closest thing he had to a friend at that time, yet as always he ruined it with the Fuck Quest.

Exactly, that's the thing, she seemingly was genuine about hanging out with him. He's the one who plied her with gifts so he could get china. She refused the Nintendo DS she thought he had purchased for her as well. And, at the end, she refused any other gift he had bought for her 2008 Birthday. She paid up, even at the end.

I did find it funny that she chastised him for copying all of her interests. I think she knew exactly what he was up too, tried to be a good friend, and it totally backfired on both of them. Chris, because he's Chris, and Megan because she learned what nearly ever other women (except his mommy) knows: Chris looks at chicks as nothing more than china and "no means yes eventually".

Yeah I don't think Megan was so bad. She seemed a bit odd, but then again we only know what we saw of her responses to emails. But I think she meant well in regards to Chris and was in a very awkward position when he zeroed in on her to complete his love quest.

i love the megan saga. it's just proof that his woes would've been inevitable even without the trolls. while it did crossover into the encyclopedia dramatica days, it still shows how he can screw it all up on his own.
in regards to the emails, it's just astounding how much he spammed her while she was away.

It's by far my favorite saga because it's just Chris in his purest form, with no outside interference. I also feel it gives us the best insight into his personality as well, particularly when the whole Parappa the Rappa thing kicks off.

Yeah, Megan saga is probably my favorite saga too.

These e-mails are just pure gold. I like how the tone instantly changes from friendly (even though she kept telling Chris to STOP TOUCHING HER, they were still in friendly terms) to pure disaster right after ED. And then Chris manages to mess things up even more with that creepy drawing, and when he tries to apologize, he says he did it to "control his urges". I know he'd probably never rape her, what he was trying to say was that he did it to blow off some steam from being a virgin with rage, but GodBear does that come out wrong. His explanation for putting the drawing online was just weird, too ("Yeah, I'll counter attack their embarrassing content about me with MORE embarrassing content about me! What could possibly go wrong?")

If he would just keep that to himself as fap material, Megan probably would never find out about it. And he kept that strategy, too, when dealing with those Rosechu pickle fanarts. Counter attacking with Rosechu vagina fanarts.



Man, it's such a train wreck. And yeah, nobody was telling him what to do at this point (apart from creating the ED page, trolls weren't contacting him that much yet), so it's almost 100% pure CWC.

Even if there was never fake sweethearts or the CWCki, I think Sonichu and the Megan Saga alone would already make a hell of a story.
