  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.

I thought this was going to be a train wreck, but it looks promising.

Wasn't the original Muppet Show pretty much oriented at adults? I doubt kids would have recognized any of the guests, let alone caught all the jokes.

It looks all right. I don't know, I feel like they're trying too hard to be funny, and I'm not sure how well it will be able to sustain an ongoing narrative. I'll give it a shot, but I don't have very high hopes for it.

"A bacon-wrapped hell on Earth." I think I might want to use that sometime.

Anyways, first impressions actually impressed me. Though I doubt I'll watch it simply because I have no cable.

I'm definitely excited for this. I've been quite happy with the comeback the Muppets have had in the last 4-5 years.

Will this show last? It remains to be seen, though I will definitely check out the show when it debuts.

necro for general muppeting
watching a random episode of The Muppet Show with Crystal Gale and a bunch of thieving prairie dogs
I forgot how much funnier The Muppet Show was than basically all other Muppet stuff

watched s4e1 with John Denver
near the end John tells Kermit about catching frogs in the swamp using a flashlight, Kermit is clearly distressed and explains how he knew all about that flashlight, and says that's why his eyes look like that
