Jesus Christ, there not a hint of consistency with this. You can't go from "Haha a boy gets stuck crossdressing for the fifth time ain't that hilarious?" to an outright dystopian militaristic army that forces submission on others they perceive as abusive. Either go with the wacky random whimsy or dive into the disturbing implications head on and change the ratings, trying to go both ways isn't going to work, especially for what's supposed to be a kid's show.

Bear in mind we're comparing a script for the middle of Season 1 to a script for the end of Season 3. Enter probably thinks he can get away with the mood change through Cerebus Syndrome. I look forward to Season 6 when the nuclear wars start.

One show I can think of that did this well was Moral Orel, but even in the comedic early episodes there were always plenty of hints at how screwed up everyone was. That isn't there in GA, it's just "LOL, Boy in da dress!" for a while and then suddenly there are prison camps.

Now I'm curious if kids get thrown into these torture camps for like bullying, do bullies get mixed in with violent offenders? Like does little Jimmy get tossed into the slammer with big Tyrone for calling someone booger breath?
I'd like to imagine yes.

I just had a horrifying thought: Would Mr. Enter be stupid enough to put his Mom and Stepdad in Cute Camp? Given how much he hates them for their "abuse" I have a feeling he might try to put them in the camp to punish them for their alleged wrongs against him

Nah, the prison for kids was this thing: View attachment 905030View attachment 905031
Wow, it's the first thing I've seen Enter make which doesn't feel psychotically off-tone... which leads me to automatically suspect this idea is stolen from something. Maybe KND, seeing that he's already borrowed about 80% of this whole thing from their writers' wastebin?

The entire “project” basically feels like if KND was entirely written by actual kids without a hint of self-awareness and actual, seething hatred for the adults in their lives.

Interesting side-note, actually: A couple years ago, the creator of KND unsuccessfully tried getting a sequel series off the ground, and the basic premise was that the original show’s main character had effectively turned into a crazed villain trying to eradicate adulthood itself, with his former teammates having to stop him.

GA’s utter dystopia reminds me of that, but in a “holy shit, the villains actually won and adults are second-class citizens” deal, and it’s clinically insane.

It’s a little different with Moral Orel. The last season was so fucked up because it was intended to be a spring board for a planned spin off that focused on the town rather than Orel, which is why he was barely in it. The show itself ends in season 2 with the hunting trip. Which is also why all of season 3 takes place either before or directly after said trip

It's ironic Enter made a dystopia that is far more mean spirited than most of the cartoons he reviewed. Like this is worse than everything he considered bad because at least those didn't pretend the mean spiritedness was actually meant to be some sort of utopia shit
He gets so upset when a My Little Pony shouts at one of her friends, or SpongeBob gets a gross splinter or whatever, and calls this 'torture porn'. Yet his show has actual torture in it now, performed by the characters he wants us to see as the heroes. The disconnect between what he says in his reviews and what he puts in GA is so bizarre.
