that title is unusually clickbaity for him.
Seems to be tied to his whole rebrand. He's seen how common clickbait is on YouTube - this community is no exception with people like vailskibum and phantomstrider getting close to a million views sometimes with similar methods - and thinks that's how he'll get and keep new viewers. Brings me back to when he used to make videos like "Top [number] WORST [topic]" which are his best performing videos to date.

We have MAJOR news folks! Enter is working on a new Growing Around novel and, get this, the Dunns aren't even the main characters.

So, the literal first mass published piece of GA media, excluding the stuff Enter has taken down, is going to be a day in the limelight story. Talk about confusing as hell. How the fuck does he even plan to market this? How is he going to introduce the concept to first time consumers when the main characters and story it's based on haven't been shown in any fully published work? I just... what?

So like-- we're just gonna forget about the Dunn's then, okay buddy Enter (I don't even like the Dunn's anyway, so good riddance). As for the Growing Around franchise, it's still going? Why is it still going?

"Come buy my typo ridden novella about background characters from a cartoon that doesn't exist!"

Technically, he did publish a book about Sally, it's just no longer available. So, in a way, this is a sequel to a book he no longer wants to let people read.

You assume he's going to mass publish this book?
You assume he's going to finish this book?
He's already announced and "worked on" so many other Growing Around novels over the years. Why would this be the one that gets a final draft?

As much as we may talk about market strategies and narrative pacing, we all know Mr. Enter never gave a fuck. "Growing Around" isn't about high ambition or a grand master plan for a media empire. It's just a playground for him to mess around with whatever wild concept he's hyper-fixated on this month, and the second he's bored, he'll move on to the next obsession.

Give him two weeks. We'll never see this rock band again.

And, he was just sperging about making a Wizard of Oz clone a few weeks ago, so we already see how fast he abandons these things in real time.

Let's assume Mr Enter actually goes through with all this shit, giving him benefit of the doubt. Who the fuck is going to be able to understand a "day in the life" thing?

What's with Enter suddenly acting all mature/level headed? He fired his shit editor and openly stated that "sometimes you gotta do shit you don't like" is a main facet of life, and now he's making click bait moves to help his channel? Could he be actually growing as a person, or is this some kind of high-before-the-crash type scenario we're looking at.

Bro, what the fuck even is Growing Around? It sounds like I'm joking, but I'm not, I don't really remember what the end goal was. Like, with Samurai Jack, you had Jack trying to defeat Aku while going though hardships. In My Life as a Teenage Robot, you had Jenny trying to fit in while being made to stand out, but I cant for the life of me remember what Growing Around was supposed to be besides a role reversal thing.

I think I've said this before, but Growing Around could have been a fun comedy about kids being in charge as an experiment, and how the ambitions of youth will inevitably lead to mayhem when left uncheck. Like, you could parody unhealthy work culture (work long hours, go home only to sleep), except its with some streamer kid who thought it'd be fun to make money playing games.

That's literally all growing around had to be, something silly and lighthearted, yet you have so many people both in this thread and Enter himself thinking Growing Around had to be something deep and challenging. I still don't understand it.

And then there's the crossdressing!

I think the issue with people trying to make Enter's show deep in a way (including Enter) is because of many reasons

Enter himself:

1. Many cartoonspergs are obsessed with more dramatic and serious cartoons coming out
2. Enter holds a very high opinion of himself that his work must be "X done right" or better
3. Enter is a pretentious asshole.

Other people (including those in this thread) who rewrite the show with deep implications:

1. Enter has made his worldbuilding so bad there are many holes that are ripe for weird ass dystopias.
2. Enter himself wanted this show to be super deep so people want to one-up him on how to make a better version of his show while being deep.
3. Writefags who want ass pats for fixing Enter's show

You answered your own question. GA can only be viewed as "deep" and serious, because Enter intended it to be that way. Enter's world building for GA includes adult "re-education camps" and details about the weaponry prisons guards have, which are unintentionally horrific. And details about how everyone over the age of 17 is stripped of their rights, completely unpersoned (especially if they have children), and forced to attend school until they "graduate" in their 60's. There's no comedic bit I'm leaving out either, Enter is 100% dead serious about these concepts being seen as serious.

I've seen this a few times before. Enter realizes his status quo isn't financially stable or emotionally fulfilling, so he's shaking things up to get both the audience and the algorithm back on his side. Then, the moment he's satisfied and the hatedom calms down, he'll regress back to monthly rant videos like nothing ever happened. You can already see the regression as his rebrand is a convenient excuse to stop uploading Topics of the Week.

And then his fans will scream and cry that he’s “changed” or what little fans he has left.
