I'm not excited about this. Wiseau isn't funny when he's in on the joke. He becomes irritating and terrifying.

Honestly, I think that's going to be what determines whether the series will be "good" or not. If Wiseau just tries to make it intentionally bad while referencing The Room a lot it probably won't be entertaining. If he actually tries to make something then it might be pretty uproarious.

I was at a Room screening last night which began with a sneak preview of The Neighbors. It's less "forced 'unintentional' hilarity" and more The Room's slice-of-life levity we know and put up with until the good stuff comes.

It also brings to mind Greg Sestero's Disaster Artist, in that the actors in it know where they rank and know what they're working with, but are having a good time anyway.
