OH FOR FUCK SAKE! Fine, I'll actually post meaningful shit.

Let's begin.

The Man in the Forlorn Hills

My broken, naked tree
How you look like my broken heart.

Darkness in the vast spaces of perception,
Tears eroding the impalpable blackness.
There, clothed in forgotten memory
Lies a man in the forlorn hills.

He who sits before a deadened ash
And hopes in vain for its leaves to grow.
How much he wishes for its greenery,
But all there is are naked branches.

Thump thump thump
Sounds his heart to nothing
Thump thump thump
Pines his heart to no one.

The tenebrous blue looms far above,
unconscious of the man's afflictions.
The tree and the heart continue on
With no reason but to perpetually "be".

No more leaves, no more fruit.
The man and tree are in eternal winter.
None are coming to bring them life;
None are coming to give them love.
None are coming, none are coming...

The rain falls like liquid crystal,
Shimmering with no meaning.
All things in this unknown land
Swim and dance with little meaning.

The man hears only rustling wind
And echoes of a lone piano in his mind.

Such is destiny of the broken heart,
Such is the world that we live.
We gaze out the vast eternities,
And see nothing but our soul alone.

We pine and ask for affection:
We try to seek another in the swaying grass,
Yet always we are the forlorn man.
Our abode lies in the hills and ash,
In the places where no one else exists.

The Incarnate

Eyes that shine like blue twilight,
Eyes that stare like cold midnight.
A tumultuous sea of brilliant energy,
Casting the world by deadly storm.

The Voices whisper,

"What you forgot shall be recalled,
And the mirror turned towards you.
Memory of memory, thought of thought,
Each effect remembering its cause."

Voice roaring into deepest space,
Resounding a forgotten place,
Remembering a forgotten past.
The incarnate's flame rises from the dark.

The Voices sing,

"You shall see that shadow return again,
A rising understanding of darkness forgot.
What is invisible to the eye shall be seen;
You will sense what was locked in your heart."

A Knight gazes out solemnly to eternity,
His sword drawn to the tenebrous gray.
He senses the brilliant fire come now:
He takes up oaths to protect the cerulean Flame.

The Flame calls,

"The ebbs and tides of the world have changed.
And in it, mankind will face their dark reflections."

The piercing silence before the tempst,
A sweet taste of honey that tempts us
To enter the maelstrom of dark remembrance.
In the center, the incarnate rises forever.

He says before all is torn asunder,

"The lies you hide
The false beliefs you hold,
Now fall away,
Fall away,
Fall away..."​

The One I Love

To a friend

Shine you in this world,
Shine you in sweet light.
The blazing eyes aglow;
Let the world now know
You will rise above the sky.

The little shall guide the big.
The match shines brighter than the sun.
A stoat, the king of animals;
He guides all with the song of his call.

The lion bows before the weasel.
The swan blushes at his beauty.
The parrots cry out his name.
The otter collects pearls for his crown.
The rabbit prophesies further greatness.

Shine on, shine on
You brilliant spark of majesty!
All the forest turns to glass
At the touch of your little paws.
Your pelt, more orange than all the sunsets.

My love, none can posses you,
Yet all wish you for their own.
The polecat is the mighty cat,
Who roars at the soul of men.

So come and take what is yours!
The love you deserve comes now at last.
And when we must return again to night,
You shall at the end be our guiding light.​

Four Years to the Day

Still fresh in my mind, the many tears;
The inner sadness, the unfulfilled wish.
The desire, the regret that'll never end:
That never I became better friends with you.
You two, gone away forever.

All have gone have married on,
Have made families and carried on.
Yet still I lie here in this night.
Still I lie here in the moment,
Perpetual in the death forever.

A mixture of abandonment here I feel;
As if I have died four years ago.
We both the same friends lost in tragedy;
We both never have left the spot we fell.

I feel awful thinking in this way,
In this mode of thought here I lay...
I can't stop thinking all the time:
Here, the friend I never fully knew.

I wish I never was the one to be different:
To be gay.
To be unmarried.
To be alone.
To be different.
I'm here forlorn in the greatest shadows.
And here still I think of each of you...​

Epitaph:

My words are of the bird's beat,
Of the wind's ephemeral taste:
Full of the sound and the fury,
Yet their ends bring nothing but air.​

The Rite of Passage

Now comes the winter;
Now comes the snow.
Now comes the clouds;
Now comes the rain,
And all our tears.

A generation rises;
A generation falls.
What once did beget us
Now drops like summer leaves.

We grow up and leave our roots.
We become the adults like our parents.
We take another harsh step forward.
The mountains grow ever higher.

It hurts, and still our legs force us to move.
Still our eyes stare on the path we're ever on.
The clouds are crying and obscuring,
And the mud below wears us down.

And just the same, we must go.
Make not vain the promises we gave;
Make not lie the love we abide.
For their sake, we must further ride.

The world darkens, still we try to find the light.​
