So someone has already released a full audio file containing a long recording of the police communicating by radio, some of which is related to the incident at Game Stop yesterday.
Here's the link if you haven't listened yet: https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4zrfqd8go68x0x/CWCGameStop-Broadcastify.com.mp3?dl=0
Has anyone attempted to decipher the codes the cops are using yet? What I mean is not just transcribe the whole radio conversation, but also the codes that are used to relay information quickly. Cops use codes a lot , most of the things said in the radio from the police probably don't make much sense to most people because of that. One example of this is "10-1" which means they have bad reception on their radios and some messages aren't getting through, and of course "10-4" which means they acknowledge the message relayed to them. I found a small list I'll link to here.
I haven't listened to the radio recording yet because I legit just woke up and I have to do stuff, but later on today or tomorrow I'm going to listen to it and try and decipher the codes and give you guys a full "translated" transcript. I'm a cop's kid, so I've heard lots of radio conversations and I feel like I could understand it a little better since I'm used to how cops talk. Then again maybe not, as my dad was RCMP and I'm not used to the American police codes and shit. I will still try and decipher it though. Unless one of you wants to beat me to the punch. =P If someone does go through the trouble before I do, just post it here!
Here's the list of codes:
This wouldn't be a proper cwcki thread without some sort of quip about Chris, so here it is: 10-87. =P
