Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.
This takes three minutes to say what some quote probably from a lolcow in random_text.txt says:
"It shouldn't surprise anyone that those forums are full of trolls and a recent study shows that those that engage in trolling and cyberbullying share traits of the Dark Triad."
OP sucks but I kind of think this is an interesting discussion subject.
I find this hard to believe tbh. All the people I've known irl who enjoy trolling, myself included are generally normal chill people who don't take things too seriously and don't have any obvious personality disorders. Saying trolls have high levels of narcissism and sadism just seems ridiculous and over-the-top to me.
I know we say this isn't a trolling forum but of course lots of people here like trolling, and although probably most farmers have some kind of mental issue I wouldn't say psychopathy or narcissism are among them. That's far more prevalent in the people we discuss.
There seems to be a lot of overlap between what people call trolling and what is more accurately described as flaming.
"LOL I HOPE YOU DIE IN A FIRE AND YOUR CAT GETS RAPED" is flaming
"Hey guys, I have this great plan to troll Chris..." is not
The first, yeah I can see those people being mentally unstable.
People who just like dicking around making fake profiles for Phil and trying to get banned from communities are probably okay people.
There used to be more of a distinction between the two, but now pretty much any time someone says something mean on the internet it's labelled "trolling"

It's generally easy to split your personality between internet and real life... For those who make it a challenge, IE Power Leveling/Weening/Same-Username-Everywhere, well you know the "A" word comes to mind...
After that, it comes down to whether or not your material fits, or can pull a reaction at all. Bonus: if you expose how insecure the other person is.

Most people who think they have a great plan to troll Chris are also probably mentally unstable though

No biggy. My idea for trolling Chris would be of a tranny making a video, where she roundhouse kicks the babby while shouting JULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, which is then loaded up on Facebook.
