I don't play a lot of video games. I used to when I was a kid, because I had two brothers and that's what we did, but I sort of lost interest as I got older. Persona 4 though? I've spent at LEAST 200 hours on that game, and I loved every minute.

I got Persona 3 because I heard it was really rad and it was. Anyways, I'm playing it and I'm like, really far, and all is good in the Universe. And then a terrible storm blew into town. A terrible boom of thunder heralded the power being shut off and me losing all of my virtual memory data on the PS3 (Oddly enough, it only affected the 'Classics' data).
I almost cried when I got the power back on.

I like how veiny it is, and how freckled its ripe green sac. I mean, kudos to Kazuma Kaneko for detailing it so much, really. Every time I see it I giggle like a moron.

I'm currently a little over halfway through on my second playthrough of Persona 3, and I have to say, it feels quite a bit more enjoyable the second time around. A lot of the issues I initially had with it, I don't seem to mind as much anymore.
I have to say though, coming from the Portable version to FES, I kinda miss just equipping my party members whenever I want rather than having to wait until you're in Tartarus to do it.

It's not like it's necessary to equip your party members outside of Tartarus. You only ever fight in Tartarus and during the Full Moon portions you're always given time to prepare with your party members beforehand.
True. It's just that I'm so used to just equipping my party members at any time in pretty much every other JRPG I've played.
It's not a real issue at all, just something that I'm not used to.
I love the Megami Tensei franchise. I love the gameplay of using demons to fight your way through a destroyed world with the choice to shape it as you want too. The storylines are really interesting while bring up interesting things about the world to think about. These games changed my life.
My favorite Megami Tensei game has to be Devil Survivor: Overclocked. I loved the SRPG elements and the concept of being trapped in Tokyo for a week. On a mainline SMT, I have to go with Strange Journey. That battle theme is awesome despite the locations being a pain later on.

Well, this is old, but the first Shin Megami Tensei is available in English for the first time ever (on iPhone).

So, I was cleaning up my room and I decided to look through the SMT Nocturne manual, and for some reason, there's a screenshot from Digital Devil Saga in there.
I guess DDS just came out in Japan at the time, but it just seemed kinda weird to find.

Nocturne in the US was technically a re-release. The original version of Nocturne released in Japan didn't have Dante, the fiends and the labyrinth of Amala. All that was added in a re-release to the game called the "Maniax" edition, which was the version Atlus decided to localize. By the time the game came out in the 'states (October 2004) , Digital Devil Saga had already been released a few months prior (April 2004). Nocturne also includes a trailer for Digital Devil Saga in the main menu as well.
It was also not called "Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne" in Europe either. In Japan it was referred to as "Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne" and in Europe it was called "Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call" (With one of the worst cover art designs I've ever seen)
Lucifer's Call and the Japanese version have yet to be released on PSN. Only the NA version Nocturne has been released. (Not that I'm complaining)
The localization team for Nocturne also had balls considering they legit went for an M rating and sought to preserve the darker themes in the story.

There was also another version that essentially replaced Dante with Raidou of the Devil Summoner series. As of now, there is no localized version of it. Kinda wished they did as I'm not a fan of Dante. :/

To be honest, I know that the Vita has many ports already, but I would love to see a port on Nocturne. It be awesome if they port the version with Raidou. A interesting thing about Raidou is that he unlike Dante actually can learn pierce, useful for the final boss at TDE.
Speaking of Nocturne, I been wanting to play it again. I beat it at normal and this time, I'm going for hard mode for TDE.

So far I've played P3 FES and P4. It's been a while, and I really miss playing. I haven't finished "The Answer" in FES though. I also haven't completed all the S. links in P4.
