I’ve been trying to figure out why the Sims has a more woke fanbase than most games - probably because its casual nature appeals more to people who don’t usually play video games otherwise, and that includes the perpetually triggered. And when they ask for this stuff they completely neglect the fact that so many people love nothing more than to torture their Sims - if the ability to make an autistic epileptic fox-kin with fae pronouns is added, who’s to stop them from being drowned in the pool or fed to the cow plant?

The primary audience of The Sims is women. That's all you need to know.

Meanwhile you need a mod if you want your family to eat together at the table (as opposed to doing 20 seperate actions to get everyone there) even though the Sims 2 had that.

While I can't guarantee it, I personally doubt it. However, It's more than likely such a mod existed back during the prime days of the Sims 2 and I'm willing to put a dollar on that one. So who knows.

I was an og modder in the prime sims 2 days, lately I've just been busy updating my mods to make it feel a little bit like the sims 4 but none of the boring shit, literally played the sims 4 for an hour then reverted back to sims 3 and when the sims 2 got story progression switched back, I can't stop playing if it even if its 2 decades year old.
but I seriously hope the great asshole modder Pedasco finds out about this shit. He literally shut down the og insim site when the original owners sold it to an asshole who not only knew shit about the sims but wanted to try and turn it into like another tsr. he owns paysitesmustbedestroyed.org, id love to see the retalitation it could bring.

EA made the sims 4. Fuck if they care about bad press. Yay, having to wait half a decade for things to be as good as 3. And no color wheel.

So far, the game has a Brindleton Bay gay couple, a Sulani lesbian couple, a Sulani troon, another Sulani troon, a nonbinary wizard from Realm of Magic, an Evergreen Harbor lesbian couple, and another Evergreen Harbor lesbian couple. I may have missed some, and I haven't kept track past the Eco Lifestyle expansion, so maybe the newer expansions add even more.

Coincidentally, one of them just died on me. Buff lesbian walked into the gym and immediately had a heat stroke.

The people who I know that play/mod The Sims don't care about making sure every single colour and condition and gender identity is "represented", and I'm sure your average Sims player is the same.

Yeah the way I see it, it's like mod it yourself if want it because like skin tones which to be fair compared to sims3 were very limited, and took upwards of years for ea to fix, most of the woke batshit idiots follow ea game changers which is basically a human centipede of ea ass kissing.

A slightly late response, but this. 100%. The Sims team and EA really don't give a shit unless they look bad, and this tweet gained a decent amount of traction.

Anyone remember when a EA game changer Dylansimz was outed for grooming children and it caused a scandal? Then when SimGuruLyndsay released a statement claiming they'd be dropped from the program, we learned she knew Dylan was doing this for at least 4 MONTHS and did nothing until it blew up.

On behalf of my gender and the same community I agree. A lot of us really don't care about the demand for wokeness in the Sims like pronouns, more trans sims, disabilities and all that jazz. We don't really cling to Simtubers either. We just want the game to be playable and for content that should've been in the base game to eventually make its way into the game (bunk beds for example).

As @pedoguyguykrai said, if we want something. we mod the game, the mod market (market? community?) for the game is constantly expanding and doing things EA should have done years ago. Once again, it's just another instance of how the loudest voices are the ones people often hear and listen to, and how that's not always good.
