Mike Matei is a colossal faggot and I wish James didn't keep him around but iirc they're like best friends since college so that meth looking fiend ain't going nowhere.
Conversely I've heard Matei played a big hand in getting AVGN off the ground, which if true is another noteworthy contrast between James and Noah: James accepted and benefited from help but Noah turned away anyone who could hold him accountable.
I remember him admitting he was sick of the character almost ten years ago. I almost feel bad for him.

She is the hidden gem of this entire thread. She's like Anne Wilkes from Misery minus agency, money, a house, vocational training, useful skills, or power of any kind. If she had Spoony tied to a bed and was about to hobble him, she'd blow out her arthritic knee trying to lift the sledgehammer, which would fall onto her head as she hit the floor. Then Spoony would die of thirst because he's too apathetic to free himself or call for help.
Warthog has a S.O. now, a blind guy. She does have a fairly soft feminine voice from her youtube (spoony please) video. I think she might go away from spoony and go for that blind guy now. Spoony clearly doesn't want a fat girl to be involved.
As mentioned, she has been with this "S.O" for awhile, nothing will change.
I haven't followed that terribly long on the drama, so ok. I have know some guys like spoony that want super models or nothing and spend 30 years or so virgins. Real nerd types, and even tried and failed at flips. Spoony is, now, that type I believe.

Spoony has more then one. At least Mike helped James by convincing him to upload first three episodes of Nerd on the net, and does production and behind the scenes. His attitude from time to time can be annoying at best, and painful at worst, but his biggest sin are probably the drawings of AVGN that are used as thumbnails. Only Doug Walker and E-Rod have manage to top that, in Channel Awesome/ThatGuywiththeGlasses & co. category.

I don't find Mike that bad with James. When they do duos, it was a lot better than Tony, Kirnan, Josh. Mike had one of the funniest moments when he said his most obscure horror movies was 'the Monster and the Girll',.. He obviously pulled that tape right off the shelf and James broke down laughing. I think those other guys were more mediocre than Mike, especially Josh, holy cow. But then again, James sold it to them basically it seems.

Mike is that friend that is obviously flawed, but you keep him because of his quality. I think James should limit him more or just use his strengths, based on online feedback, but yeah, compared to other people, like lets say Linsey Ellis's Nella and Elsa, he is actually decent.
