Excuse me, I have someone here named "Berseria"...I like both of them.
Xillia 2's true ending is a fucking gut punch tho. Might be the most bitter sweet ending ever for a Tales game.

Yeah.Looks like Arise's combat system is a better version of what was in Zestiria.
I'm hoping the earlier Tales games get a re-release in the west.Holy shit the Tales of Destiny DC translation is coming along SUPER fast. It's almost done.
People are also working on a Tales of Destiny 2 translation.

i hated xilla 2 ending (there were alot of things i disliked about the game actually) because "god" could have solved the issues but because god is an asshole, you have to either sacrifice yourself or your "not" daughter. since i too, am an asshole, i choose my "not" daughter and the game treated me like i was some kind of monster.Berseria's ending is bitter sweet.
But Xillia's 2 is a bit more of a gut punch. At least for me. Mainly cause I saw the ending of Berseria coming from a mile away. You especially saw that ending coming if you played Zestiria.
I did not see Xillia 2's ending coming. Mainly cause you think there is gonna be some happy ending for all asspull at the end.... There is not.
I'm curious how they are doing the translation. It looks like a fancy google translate, but the encoding looks great. Reminds of the project AZ started but abandoned.Holy shit the Tales of Destiny DC translation is coming along SUPER fast. It's almost done.

It's a fine Tales game. It's like a mix of Xillia1/2 and Graces for the combat. Lots of weakness hunting for more combos, the same exploration as Xillia, and it's got some pretty good music and areas. I think it's a better game if you played Zestiria since it does try to fix the problems Zestiria had with it's shitty story. Doesn't really do too much but it's way better in comparison. Is Tales of Berseria worth finishing? I bought it on Steam a couple of months ago for dirt cheap. Played it for about 2 hours. The combat seems pretty simple but the main character feels a little "edgy" for my tastes. I do like the witch girl.
Based on what some people have asked on the official Discord server and YouTube comments, the majority is hand translated and the parts that arent hand translated, like NPC dialogue, is machine translated and are being proofread by playtesters. There are daily patch updates, so if you really want a fully hand translated game, wait like a month or two.I've heard the nearly completed Tales of Destiny remake translation is just an edited machine translation, anyone know for sure? Though I guess it doesn't matter much -- the team doing the ToD2 translation are also tackling ToD.
Holy fuck, that looks legimately fun and not spammy like Berseria's Velvet. I really wish they kept multiplayer now this would be a blast to play with other people.Do not know who this is, but he got access to play a Tales of Arise preview build from Namco Bandai.
Has spoilers as it shows all the playable characters. Including two never shown before as far as I know.
Combat looks great.
