That's one thing I have yet to figure out. I just guessed he was throwing some kind of tard tantrum and was restrained so he wouldn't hurt himself or anyone else. No clue about the recording it bit, though. Maybe trying to get evidence that he needed to be in a specialized school? Who knows.

Chris was probably prone to tantrums and the teachers were probably trying to explain Chris's difficult behavior to the principal or Bob and Barb but no one realized the extent so during one tantrum they tried to control/restrain him and recorded it to establish how bad it really was.

I had a special ed classmate in my second grade class (it was standard at my school to have a (presumably) well functioning autistic attend normal classes while also going into the special ed class a few times a week for supplementary lessons) who tard raged once, and restraining them is indeed standard. The teacher called for his special ed teachers and then quickly herded us out of the class for an extra-long recess session, but before they got us completely out we could see them holding him down and removing his shoes as he tried to kick them. It really isn't a normal tantrum, they attack teachers and destroy objects if they can. And I'm betting that Chris did this all the time before his teachers told Bob that he had to attend a special school.

Autistic kids that are prone to violent shit fits get restrained for their safety when they are having a tantrum. The ironic part about this is that the school followed the proper method with autistic kids to make sure Chris didn't hurt himself or others. The ones who didn't and still doesn't know how to deal with autistic's are the Chandlers.

The trouble with quotes like this is that they only come from Chris and well...Chris sees the past "thru a mirror darkly".

We only have his take on events and we all know that that means we outside observers have to apply the "CWC Filter" and try to piece together what really happened that day.

Do I think a group of teachers held him down and taped his pitiful cries because they were just plain evil and terrified of slow-in-da-minds? No, of course not.

Nor do I believe that his then principal was out to sexually abuse him, no matter what Chris claims. All you need to do is to watch the "Green County Conspiracy" video to see how warped Chris's memory is.(Which is a awesome video that should be made mandatory viewing for any aspiring Christorian btw)

Would I sacrifice many small, furry animals to know what really happened that day...hell yes!

This is how I see what happened...

Before the incident Chris spoke of, he has thrown other fits. Teachers called Barb, she refused to believe them about Chris being a danger to other kids or himself, whatever. After several instances of Chris having screaming fits and his parents refusing to do anything about it/being in disbelief, the teachers and principal knew they needed proof. So one day he has a fit, and they taped his screaming to show Barb that yes, her son is a screamer.

Barb goes on the defensive and thinks they were being mean to him and that his screams were cries of pain or somesuch, and this led to the whole hullabaloo with them moving to a different county so their son could go to a regular school instead of a school/institution for the slow in the minds.

I doubt anyone actually recorded Chris's cries. My guess is he was acting like a raving lunatic and the teachers had to restrain him to keep him from hurting himself or others. I'm not sure whether Chris was in special ed. at the time or not, or how exactly they handled things like this in Virginia, but pinning unruly special needs students to restrain them if they caused a ruckus was standard procedure in the self-contained classroom at the highschool I went to, as well as in many group homes.

Most likely, the "recorded my screams" bit was told to him by Borb. We all know how he takes their word as gospel...
