The only one of these I got was Pic related because I had never played the original. Are the strange journey and etrain odyssey remakes any good?
The second Etrian Odyssey remake is really good. Strange Journey ruined all the character portraits and added new "true" endings to each path that imply the original endings are meaningless, and involve an insufferable mary sue badly jammed into the story. Weirdly it doesn't even add 3D to the first person 3D Dungeons like Soul Hackers did.![]()

Is there at least a DLC that gives you the original art back like with radient historia? If not then I will probably just play both lol.The second Etrian Odyssey remake is really good. The only jrpg I recommend is shin megami tenseiI generally stay away from JRPGs. The plot feels too cookie-cutter, in my opinion.
Etrian 1 benefited from a remake because it was a rough first attempt - a lot of QOL features missing, off-kilter plot, and a postgame that entailed ludicrous amounts of grinding and/or theorycrafting. Are the strange journey and etrain odyssey remakes any good?
Did Trauma Team bomb? I know New Blood didnt do wellI need a new Trauma game for switch
No.The second Etrian Odyssey remake is really good.
Depends if you're dungeon crawling.![]()

It's either that or they don't know where else to take the story.Did Trauma Team bomb? I know New Blood didnt do well
Back in the days of Atlus hating europe too. Still remember how the eu release of SMT4 was over a year after the US release, as a digital, english only release
Play xenogears. That game ha a crazy plot.I generally stay away from JRPGs. The plot feels too cookie-cutter, in my opinion.
I hated Bravely Default because the story only gets good at the end. Even if the game has a unique story you still have to slog through generic JRPG shit you have seen a thousand timesDoes Bravely Default count?
Well the ladies have bigger tits so thats a plus. But the art is still worse overall.Never understood why they remade Radiant Historia and changed the art for the main character. Besides that though, Radiant Historia is a pretty good game and has an excellent take on turn-based combat. The time travel mechanic was also a lot of fun and collecting all the variant endings and bad endings was nifty.
Gameplay-wise the sequel is better, but only because it has some much-needed QoL adjustments. Apart from that, you can see a quite a few corners have been cut through reused assets.I hated Bravely Default because the story only gets good at the end. I dunno making a game about a pandemic seems like a bad idea during a pandemic. It's either that or they don't know where else to take the story.
Could you really make it without motion or touch controls? It'd lose a bit of itself if it moved from that.I dunno making a game about a pandemic seems like a bad idea during a pandemic.
That and that shit relied heavily on bullshit motion controls.
