The author is the same person who paid to have Muffet added to Undertale, which is why I've heard about the drama to begin with: people lamenting Muffet wouldn't be in deltarune because the character owner was a REEE PEDO
I never heard about that one. I do remember people losing their shit over that terrible So Sorry character because the designer was a feeder furry.

This stupid shit pretty much reminds me of what took place on Tumblr a long time ago.

So long before Twitter became a cesspool of self-righteous dipshits, there was Tumblr which was the social media platform for fandoms at its peak.

Well I can't believe that I have to bring up this story after all these years but this is the story of Pinkiepony (aka Pinkie Posh) and the stupid shitstorm of the drama that was the Princess Molestia blog.

So if you know anything about the Internet in the early 2010's, back then you had the brony fandom in which at the time exploded in popularity after the huge success that was 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic'. This show got so popular that it was everywhere and you really couldn't escape from it at the time too.

So naturally like a lot of things, the show 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' would gain a lot of attention from a lot of Rule 34 artists and one of those many projects that spawned from this was a Tumblr blog called 'Princess Molestia'.

Now 'Princess Molestia' was a blog that featured the character 'Princess Celestia' from the hit T.V. series and looking at the remaining screenshots it just seemed like softcore porn at best where the character would speak to the reader in a lewd manner while making some suggestive poses too. For a while this blog gotten some popularity that is until this person named 'Pinkiepony' started one of the dumbest online moral crusades ever.

So Pinkiepony decided to go to war against the Princess Molestia Tumblr blog where she claimed that the blog 'promoted sexism' and how content such as this 'demeaned' women everywhere. The drama would get so bad that it would eventually gain the attention from Hasbro in which they decided to send a 'Cease and Desist' letter to the people that ran the Princess Molestia blog and the Tumblr blog then taken down for good. So after all of this, Pinkiepony got her insignificant victory but this left a lot of people really pissed off that she did all of this to begin with.

However, this story does not end here. It would then turn out that the real reason why Pinkiepony wanted the Princess Molestia blog down wasn't because of any of the dumb social justice bullshit that she wanted to push; the real reason why Pinkiepony wanted the blog gone was because she then found her little sister looking at it and wanted her little sister to not look at the NSFW blog anymore and so Pinkiepony then started all of this really dumb social justice crusade because she was too fucking lazy to be the big sister and stuff. To add insult to injury, people would also discover that Pinkiepony has also once drew lesbian MLP porn and other pornographic art too and a lot of people did called her out on this in which she would have a total nuclear meltdown in the aftermath.

So the people that were just having fun and didn't really hurt anyone got screwed over in the end all because someone was too incompetent and lazy to set up an Internet filter that allows people to blacklist said websites from being accessed so there you have it.

So what's the moral of this story? The people that project and bitch about these sorts of things a lot almost always turn out to be total hypocrites and also bigger pieces of shit themselves.

Besides, it shouldn't be that surprising to see Twitter being the cesspool that it is now.

With Tumblr now dead and irrelevant, I can only hope that Twitter suffers the same fate too.
The brony tumblr shit drama from the earlier part of the decade may as well of been a prequel to it all. If someone really wants to bitch about how some dumb edgy "adult" parody of a cartoon horse or how an aged up drawing of some "3000 year old demon girl" is pedophilia, it'll all back fire in hypocrisy when they try to get on a high ground despite having a stash of something like shota and loli porn.

OP, I'm sure you mean well, but this thread's inevitable fate will be to serve as a battleground between trollshielding actual pedos, and lolcow 'pedo hunters' angry that their trollshield's been taken away.

So, good job making a honeypot thread.
If OP really mean't well, he could of used more examples of tards screeching hard over drawings and saying they'd have to support pedophilia when the best they got is just some dumb fan art or a clip that doesn't even scream sexual. And both sides in this loli/anti-loli shit has legit sick fucks and pedos that want to diddle kids, only difference here being one likes anime girls and the other doesn't.

Do you have links to where they might group up, like a subreddit or a Discord which they specifically focus on being anti-loli/pedo crusaders? I don't think this is a bad idea as right now we are seeing the people push porn bans and how cowish some of them are, but if its a community watch thread I just want to see more about the community. Right now it just feels very disconnected, and its not really a community-just a bunch of people who are up their own ass.

I know that 4chan has a problem with this as well as anons will derail threads completely unrelated to call people pedophiles for posting artwork. Sometimes its ridiculous too, like decrying anons who post LoL or Blizzard characters that are dwarves or halflings and calling them pedophiles. The characters are clearly of age... they're just short.
The most one would see of these sorts would be the likes of Twitter, and unless these people stick around long enough to keep sperging about anime shit compared to posting something like cat pictures, Twitter isn't going to be the best concentrated source compared to a Discord or a subreddit.

They're the same people who jerk off to shota porn/shipping without any irony.
Meanwhile whenever a girl is involved they will bring out a calculator and compare a frog age to human age using logic loopholes to claim a 3 years old frog holding a girl is child porn.

Oh trust me twitter is a perfect breeding ground for that bullshit. If you want to post your art on twitter without being chewed out by rabid dogs you basically have to denounce your loli/shota works if you have ever done them before. See: manyakis.
Otherwise, people are more than ready to forget about you being formerly a pedofork as long as you are woke enough like Rebecca Sugar.

Besides it's like how someone previously has said, some furry troon gets angry at cartoon image and riles up everyone and gets trending because anti-harassment filters work so well on twitter.

I'm not going to lie, I am going to have to agree on some sentiments with @peanus weenus and @The Reaper here, even though I am with perspective and evidence of my own. Taking down the anime morality squad apologists is going to probably take a whole lot more than just making a thread about them on Kiwifarms. I mean hell, I tried to make a post about how this shit all got started, and I had to delete it because it was a history lesson with TL;DR.

I can sum it up, but the main point is that the Twitter Anti-Moe&Loli Morality Purism Squads have history and origins stemming even further than just Tumblr, and they are the result of American ass end anime fan diehard faggotry that goes back as far as the 1990s, and the cultural dearth of an art style that has not made a constructive as well as strong founded and embracing industry and community of artists and creators since it has taken foot here for about 30 years. The latter has origins stemming from old fag weeaboo hipster faggots who claimed that Sailor Moon and everything cutesy back in the 1990s that "wasn't cool or mature" to egotistic faggots was
"the bane of anime as a whole" and Anime News Network Writer Zac Bertschy (among others) being one of these hipster faggots who has long dictated and influenced a lot of fan behavior with his writing and viewpoints for a good decade, including getting a "hardcore sex loli manga" canned (when it wasn't) and used his site as a mouthpiece for his shithead views like CNN, and the former helps show why Japan is so "superior" in terms of animation and sequential art; not because of there being a lot of so called "master artists", but from the fact that their industry generates a community which has its own thriving populace of creators and artists whose efforts come to breed respect, dedication, responsibility, and workmanship for what they do, and helps weed out fakes and hipsters better than cosplay and convention going. This, combined with so many other things, (like yes Gamergate and the whole LGBT acceptance thing with its aftermath) has lead up to a bunch of white trash weeaboo whiners whose only form of constructive activity is RRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEing at the internet through Twitter and being baizuo faggots at Japanese mangaka.

I will say this however; keep this thread up, and keep growing it. As many have said, it's a fucking clown world at this point, and there's a need for laughing at the idiots of civilization. PS, @Secret Asshole has a post on the "Is Drawn Child Pornography (Loli) Bad?" thread, and it sums up everything you need to know about childfuckers. I'd suggest you read it.

PSS, Merry Christmas everyone.
I think you got a good portion of the history down in this comment. It's pretty much an extension of the anti-moe wing of the weeb fandom. Here are a few precursors:

Colony Drop was a blog that focused on anime culture and pseudo-intellectual think pieces. They were fans of "old school" anime from the 80's and 90's, and the general editorial attitude there was intensely anti-moe, and tended to paint any moe character (whether they were of legal age or not) as pedo-bait.

You already mentioned Bertschy, but to add a little bit, the manga he effectively got cancelled was named "Kodomo no Jikan". In fairness, it really isn't the type of thing OP is talking about here, since the girls in it are very obviously under-aged, though their sexualization in the story is mostly intended to be comical and (in my opinion) isn't intended to be arousing. His usual partners in crime at ANN, like Hope/Jacob Chapman, are also here.

A large chunk of the anime commentary sphere could also be included here. Most were/are anime podcasters or anime convention panelists, though they've written the occasional thing for Otaku USA or ANN; there's more than worth naming in this comment since most are either inactive or largely irrelevant, but a couple names I can think of off-hand that are still fairly significant today are Mike Toole and Cody Baier. In general, their actual impact in the fandom wasn't all that big, since they were catering to a minority of the fan base to begin with; most of the time, they're opinions on this type of material could be summed up as "why doesn't a foreign country's niche media cater to me?", but they still tended to paint moe fans as autistic borderline/actual pedos. Of them, Toole is certainly the most prominent nowadays, since he's now actually got a editorial job at ANN now. Baier gained recent prominence due to his support of Vic Mignogna during the currently ongoing Weeb Wars drama, which makes him pretty unique among the parties mentioned in this comment.

This sort of thing has been around for over a decade in the anime/manga scene, moving from blogs and podcasts to tumblr and now to Twitter. Twitter is probably their most effective strategy yet, since you can get away with just tweeting "ok pedo" at them and boom, you're done. In general, the "anti-moe/moe defense force" war is probably a better way of looking at this than as "pedo-hunter/loli defender", but that's my $.02.

It's funny you brought up Sakimi-chan in the OP but used the small amount of drama about the Melony picture and not the absolute shit show that was the Nezuko picture.
There was at least one other artist who got shit for Nezuko, Hews: https://twitter.com/hews__/status/1180996808090112000
It's gotten to the point where even Twitter NPCs will post "just staying for the replies" because they know that there's spergery in store.

It's bizarre that there is so many zealots surrounding this character in particular, but apparently Demon Slayer was a big anime newfag vector happening after Tumblr and Reddit have poisoned the internet with 'uwu cute cinnamon roll' bullshit. In 2019. Somehow.

Well looking back on this, I think that this is probably one of the main reasons why Pixiv decided to create their own Mastodon instance back then because I'm sure that they want to give their own artists a place to post what they want without dealing with this type bullshit anyway.

See, I think it was some time ago that Pixiv announced that they would create a Mastodon instance called 'Pawoo' in which Japanese artists can post whatever they wanted (the website would eventually be transferred to some Japanese online gaming company but they are still partnered with Pixiv and Pixiv still shills for Pawoo when they can on their Mastodon account on Pawoo too) and if you're also wondering the instance does also allow loli and shota content which you can still find being posted by Japanese artists too.

If you're also wondering, Pixiv does have a Twitter account but they only use that to promote deals and events and hardly promote any artists at all and at this point it's probably for the best that they do so.

So what does this mean? We're probably going to reach that point where eventually the Internet will become more decentralized just how it should be. Look what happened with Kiwi Farms because Twitter kept banning them and Null was forced to create his own instance on Pleroma where finally people can talk about idiots online as much as they want.

This is probably going to be the future of the Internet as I see it if trends won't change anytime soon; making the Internet less dependent on big tech as we know it.

I didn't know about this anti-moe and anti-pedo intersection. I don't necessarily buy the whole "the people crying the loudest about this are definitely deflecting from their own sins" thing since it seems a bit too simple and childish along the lines of "he who smelt it dealt it," but I have to wonder for this one. I personally hate moe stuff, but not because of anything sexual; more because it tends to be really boring. "Cute girls doing cute things" isn't enough to entertain me. I tried to watch K-On and was bored after two episodes. More recently I tried to watch that thing with the two girls driving the tank after the apocalypse or whatever and couldn't make it past one. I'm boggled as to how anyone could see anything sexual about either of those, though.

The complaints about sexualizing clearly aged-up versions of child characters are perplexing as well. All adults used to be children, so are we not allowed to sexualize any adult cartoon character? Again, when someone rubbing one out to a drawing of an anime chick with big tids and thicc thighs gets called the same words we use for people like Epstein, those words start to lose meaning.

Puritans always have skellies in their closets because with many of them thier crusade is a projection. Am I calling them all pedos, no im not, but im sure there is some ambiguous shame that they hold that contiunes to drive them into logging on each day to fight a needless crusade that more often than not achieves little besides the passing on time. I find this sort of thing is similar to tumblrites who hate the fetishisation of lesbianism yet gush over Yaoi. Theres more often than not some deep seated inadeqency which makes some of these people more than worthy of mockery.

Some fujos (mainly westerners) like to consider themselves to be lgbt and sex positivity freedom fighters. When it dawns on them that they're actually just the same as coomers parading themselves as feminists so they'd get to see tits, I wouldn't be surprised if some went full puritan in shame and insecurity.

I've seen the argument that if you get romantically involved with a childhood friend, or someone you knew from high school, who is now in their 20s+, you are a pedo because you first knew them as a minor and that will always be your impression of them.

Can confirm. I know someone who is a huge fujo and deeply closeted bisexual, continues to remind everyone on twitter about how religious and moral she is and how much she wants to fuck men and only men so she can stop being a perma-virgin.

I don't think calling them closet pedos are fair. While that is probably true for a few of them, most "loli crusaders" are just the kind of idiots who can't watch chinese childrens cartoon without turning it into something greater than what it is.

Also as a semi related sidenote, a few people at my local convention has recently begun have pedo paraonia, wich probably will turn into a witch hunt. So that's something to look forward to.

People who obsessively post about how bad pedophiles are and can never shut the fuck up about it are just another flavor of Christian fundies who scream about gays burning in hell and then get caught trying to fuck twinks in the bathroom at Dennys or "male feminist allies" who turn out to be turborapists.

It's all projection and deflection.
That's why I'm a pedophile.

I suppose I could've worded that better; yes, it was only the U.S. release of it by Seven Seas that was cancelled. The series itself continued for several years in Japan after Seven Seas dropped the license. It did eventually get a digital release in the U.S. from DMP, though it's listed under their hentai label.
