To use a less apples-to-oranges comparison, imagine if I drew a hentai doujin depicting a fictional character getting raped. Does that make me a rapist? Does that make the people fapping to my artwork rapists? If so, who is the victim? The fictional character? At what point does the argument just boil away and we're left with "I don't like it, therefore we should ban it!"?
Personally, I'm concerned with the freedom of speech implications that would come with banning art topics. Once you give someone the power to restrict what can and cannot be said, it doesn't just stop with the "bad stuff." The powers that be are gonna hammer you down until you're nothing more than an obedient little slave to line their pockets. Even if you don't like loli and think it's detestable, it's a valid price to pay for unrestricted speech.
