Not to sperg but as a decade long Syrian Civil War follower (hence my profile pic of martyred general Issam Zahreddine):

You don't even need to talk about just the 2018 Douma attack. I remember when the first one of these happened in 2013 and immediately my friends and I were like 'the rebels did it.' Why? For those of us following the war even back then after Obama said his 'red line' on intervention were chemical weapons it was obvious that now the government had no incentive to use them and the rebels did. Anyone paying attention to the war from the very start knew certain army units defected to the rebels and took their weapons with them. When Libya (not to mention Iraq) went tits up post intervention the US (rightly) didn't want to pull the same farce again so they said the one thing that would make them act was precisely just this issue. Then they had an excuse not to intervene as no such attacks had yet occurred.

And then what happens, during a battle the government had all but won and the rebels lost without any need for chemical weapons? Ghouta chemical attack of 2013. The motives were all on the other side, even if both sides had the capability. Western aid to the (Al Qaeda dominated) rebels skyrockets at this point, including one of the most expensive arm and equip programs in CIA history, Operation Timber Sycamore. Suddenly, AQ and friends have shit tons of anti-tank weapons and make gains big enough Russia steps in to back up Damascus. (Many of these weapons would end up, like their users, joining ISIS and invading Iraq, spreading terror and horror there too with weapons bought with American taxpayer money.)

Its the narrative of the people who indirectly caused many of these events that TYT is now shilling for. Pathetic. I'm glad these feuds are exposing them. I scorn the fools that stick by them.
Quick aside, but you recognize how much of an autistic sperg you are, right? I mean I get that autism comes with the territory being a muzzie and all, but to go around fapping to a "martyred general" unironically is pretty gay. I'm a Zionist, and I still have enough self respect to not make my avi into Moshe Dayan.

Having paying attention to the Syrian civil war as well for 10 years, I think it's quite understandable to honor that man. Gay and autistic? Maybe, But General Issam Zahreddine was a very brave man who never betrayed his people or country. He protected the encircled city of Deir ez-Zoir at all cost from terrorist monsters for nearly 5 years and died of a hero. He's the only military figure of the 21st century I could actively respect.

Coupled with a Ferengi avatar and the name Soy King, seems pretty on point.

Its not like Syria is even high on my list of countries I am interested in or have been to. But international conflicts beat sports teams if one wants to pick a fight. They fight an international coalition backing jihadists, who I loathe. Enemies of my enemies etc.

Though I did like the idea of using an actually skilled general into falconry as an avatar on a shitposting lolcow site for the absurdity of it all. There are a fair amount of modern and not modern historical figures on peoples profiles here in case you havent noticed and its probably no great honor to any of them to be pictured on a forum like this one lol. But sperg anyway? Yeah, probably. Everyone here is to some degree I imagine.

Post discarded.
Still being a sucker for Soviet propaganda I see.

Oh wow, yet another person going for the username as if it's some sort of own. The avi itself is actually Quark with Dick Masterson's face, since he would be a Ferengi if he lived in the 24th Century.

I'll give you credit that you recognize your spergery, which is better than a lot of people in this site. My point though wasn't that you used a military general for an avi, but that you also used the typical Muzzie referential style of referring to him as a martyr and you clearly fap to Assad. But hey, as long as you're self aware, you're alright in my book, for whatever that's worth.

And for what its worth on my end, the idea of a Quark-Masterson hybrid is pretty fucking funny.

And because I used a single word common in Arab media parlance in one post doesn't mean you have to worry about secret Islamic content. This is literally the first time in my entire life I have been accused of being Muslim so that's new and frankly kind of amusing to me. My personal views on the philosophical and cultural cringe of Abrahamic monotheism in particular basically makes this an impossibility. Not to mention how cool all the "haram" food and drink items are.

But to bring it back to the TYT topic of this thread, its not about being pro-Assad, which itself would be a weird opinion for a non-Syrian to have except ironically to trigger neocons/neolibs. It is to acknowledge how much worse the realistic alternatives are. This is why this issue comes up with TYT and many other media platforms in Europe and North America. Their idea of having an opinion on a complicated issues isn't doing a contextual cost/benefit analysis so much as floating moralistically above everything and condemning everyone for being big meanie heads. If people in my own country didn't do this kind of thing I really wouldn't feel the need to stan for places like Syria at all, but here we are.

I love how its gotten to this point. Its such a car crash and I cannot look away.

Cringe as some of the aughts "lets be mean to celebrities as a news segment" was, it was better than todays woke hysteria. But even thinking that, damn Jimmy made a workplace joke that was harmless and they showed nonconsensual upskirt photos of people on their website?

They did NOT think this through when they decided to go the MeToo route on Dore lol.

Jimmy wants to shut the country down with a general strike to get his way on health care. Why Cenk and Ana think he'd hesitate for a second to go scorched earth over attacking his credibility is anyone's guess

I am glad to see the horsefucking make it in this response

TYT must be truly desperate to try to "expose" Jimmy's past when they themselves carry this much baggage. Some of these segments were cringe even at the time they were made. Surprised Jimmy has not included Cenk's "repeating the n-word for comedic value" video yet. Fingers crossed they keep on going.
