So watching a pirate copy of the Eddie Murphy movie and I expected The Disaster Artist But It's Dolemite instead I got Ed Wood But It's Dolemite. I really would have rather they had just done a new Dolemite movie and just been like "this is the new guy playing Dolemite deal with it motherfucker" like Bond.

I just want you rat soup eating muthafuckas that the Eddie Murphy movie was written by the guys who wrote Ed Wood.

How was that Netflix Dolemite movie?

Also I have fond memories of watching Dolemite with my friends on VHS. Holy shit it was hilarious. I've never seen Plan 9, but I've seen most of the Dolemite movies.

EDIT:
I'm assuming very good.

I really like the Eddie Murphy version. Not as ha ha funny as you'd think but still very fun to watch.

Nothing will ever match the originals of course but really go see the new one.

Wesley Snipes was surprisingly good to...who knew he could actually act?

I highly recommend it. It did a good job of showing the struggles of being a creative trying to make a living at it. It also did something I didn’t expect from it, it explained why blaxploitation was special and fun. It was a very heartfelt movie, with some funny bits thrown in as well.
