"They're coming" arg post card bullshit -

I got two mysterious post cards in the mail today.

They're black with green symbols, a phone number to Roswell, NM that just plays a noise (number is 1-575-291-7617) but on the bottom left corner is a different set of numbers on each card 310,478 and 353,558.

My research shows a lot of people got these the last few days with the theory that it's some dumbass ARG thing for either iam8bit (ew) or Coldplay (even grosser). The idea is apparently people have ordered from their online stores and so you're automatically put onto a mailing list and sent one or two of these cards.

Thing is, I never ordered from either so my theory is this is some Nine Inch Nails thing like Year Zero since I regularly buy from their store.

That or these are two tickets to get off earth when the aliens arrive.

Wonder if there hoping for these to become collectors items when the whole thing wraps up. It's probably just an ad, maybe tied to e3 in a few weeks, so I could see people trying to get complete sets if what ever it leads to turn out good.

Weird, so the numbers aren't unique. The far right card is the same as mine.

Realized I bought one thing from iam8bit a zillion years ago so maybe...? They're a bunch of pretentions art goblins so I could see them doing this but seems like over kill for whatever junk they're selling, especially with flyers hanging up.

E3 doing stupid stunts is nothing new.

Track 9 on Year Zero, The Warning, is quite obviously a warning to the shitty dystopian world of the album from aliens, threatening to arrive on Earth and "wipe this place clean". This would hypothetically tie into that.

I really fucking hope this isn't Nine Inch Nails's terrible, decade-removed attempt at a sequel to Year Zero. That album's setting is one of my favorite dystopias, and it had a perfect ambiguous ending that didn't answer any questions and left a lot up to the reader/listener's interpretation. There is no way you could possibly continue the story in a satisfying way, let alone in Current Year where wokeshit is almost guarenteed to fuck it up.
