Got my nice new desktop computer today. About 30 minutes later, get a blue screen saying it needed to restart then completely bricked, unable to even get to bios. Can't help but think the delivery driver dumping the box on the floor and rolling it end on end has something to do with this.

I like to recycle, so periodically I will canvas my subdivision and collect cans and plastic bottles to recycle. If I have time I collect trash. I get at least one text message daily from random numbers telling me "Hi I'm from X democratic organization. Would you like to learn more about voting for Biden?" I don't know if republican groups just don't invest in text campaigns, or where these people are getting my number. But it's annoyingly one-sided.

I posted about a similar experience in one of the Happenings threads. I received a couple of texts greeting someone other than myself (and a different name each time) wanting me to tap on a link to some survey being shilled by the Democratic Party or one of its related interest groups.

Similar, I had three different people call my workplace in the 24 hours leading up to the election. All three asked for a name other than mine or my late boss'.. When I'd say, "Sorry you have the wrong number," they'd simply say, "Well, maybe you can help me," and begin their pitch for Democratic candidates -- most likely Biden for president. One got as far as asking who I voted for and sounded disappointed when I politely told him NOYB.

The irony: my boss was a staunch Republican and probably would have had choice words for Dems trying to get her vote.

This happens often with the antivirus software on my office PC. It will claim it's downloading and installing updates, but it never does and I get a, "Your definitions are out of date!" message when I boot up the next day. The worst part is that it never displays an error message. It just goes through the motions and then shows a blank area where the information about the last update normally appears.

Any software without robust error handling is equally annoying.

I can't seem to find the post about the "women age like sour milk and men age like fine wine", but I find, as a man, that to be completely opposite. Men age far worse than women if they don't take care of their physical appearance and health, from getting moobs, loosing hair, getting very overweight, and having an unhealthy lifestyle. A lot of men look really ugly when they get older. A lot of women still look really good, even in their 80s.
