There have actually been some reported cases of people spontaneously predicting the future for just one time in their life, and then, it stops. People in the physics realm claim that this could be because of string theory and multiple dimensions. We could be witnessing future memories just because the emotional reaction to some events may be strong enough to pop subatomic particles from our mirror self's brain into our own brain. It all has to do with stuff like "the observer effect" and dead cats in boxes, or some jazz like that.
This is the really awkward thing about deja vu, it's not just feeling that you're experiencing something again but the vague feeling of always being aware of it.
