So, a odd game popped up on the Steam F2P section. Odd in that it was 1 Chinese, and 2, actually received well. So I decided fuck it I'll check it out. If it's malware at least I have an excuse to get a new PC finally.

And instead it was.. really good. Once you got past the shoddy as fuck Chinese to English translations mind you. What it is is essentially Mount and Blade meets World of Tanks progression system. Each team is made up of a bunch of generals, who lead a retinue of 20-40 (depending on tier level) soldiers into a battle in a third person view. Upgrades are the copied for a reason WoT tech tree system, except the upgrade gear can ALSO be purchased for your general instead. So maybe you main a squad of axe weilding psychopaths, but hand back with the bow you got from your other soldiers?

It's planned to have 6 nations for it's tech tree from the Classical era, those being the currently implemented Cao Wei, Shu Han, and Dong Wu from the Three Kingdoms period, with Rome the next planned faction, followed by Parthia and whatever the fuck the empire that was on the east border of Parthia was.

One of the nice touches I've seen is armor isn't just a flat statistic, but is one of three types, Cloth, Leather, or Metal, which have different resistances to different sorts of weapons. Weapon reach is also important, as are shields for both ranged weapons and not having to remember how blocking directions work because you have the hand eye coordination of a epileptic octopus.

Anyone else given this a try? It's pretty fun if a tad clunky.
