Apologies if this has already been brought up, but "Tim" is (of course) a woman who damaged her body trying too hard to pass as a man.

Her real name is Kristen; I think I found a pic of what she looked like early in her hormones binge.

As this is the legal thread I guess we aren't discussing too much of that side, but a lot of that information was already posted/discussed on this thread: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/too-liberal-ex-googler-sues-for-wrongful-dismissal.39751/

Depends what it is. In general, probably. You can't really use testimony from another case because it's hearsay, unless it falls into one of the six gorillion hearsay exceptions, like impeaching a witness.

If one case has factual findings in it, though, you could use it against Google, because it's a party to both cases, by a doctrine called collateral estoppel. This puts Google in a really ugly situation, because they might need to prove facts in one case which would make them lose the other case. Given the factual claims in the case so far, if they didn't discriminate against one of these parties, they discriminated against the other one.

They're almost going to be forced to argue contradictory things in both cases.

They'd really be better off at this point just paying off both of these guys to go away because they seem fucked either way.

This is why it's butt-fuck stupid to bring politics into the workplace.
No doubt about it. These guys need to be pacified or it'll turn into where one can't oppose one without supporting the other.

Apologies if this has already been brought up, but "Tim" is (of course) a woman who damaged her body trying too hard to pass as a man.

If it weren't for those glasses, I have been convinced that Tim was just a run of the mill neckbeard white knight.

God this thing is a lolsuit, no doubt about it. Its 20 pages long (compared to Damores which runs well over 100 pages), its full of allegations with no supporting documentation, and reading between the lines this "guy" is literally a troon oppressed by the air around "him". He "identifies" as disabled, trans and queer. holy intersectional oppression batman. Its clear he was obnoxious, and people pretty much did not want to listen to him sperging out all the time, and his boss told him he should try working more, and sperging less. Predictably, he screamed oppression, and continued to sperg. So he was fired.

That is what I gathered reading his own damn lawsuit. At least he's helping to put his lawyers kids through school. So in that respect he is contributing to society?

The funniest part of the lawsuit to me is that they include all of the warnings his managers directed at him regarding the amount of time he was spending on political autism. And not just one manager, multiple fucking managers.

That's usually a good thing. Look at Dogbite's lolsuit on Maddox. 135 fucking pages of gibberish.

A lawsuit is supposed to present a concise statement of the case, not ramble on endlessly. That's even a rule. FRCP 8(a). "A pleading that states a claim for relief must contain:

(1) a short and plain statement of the grounds for the court’s jurisdiction, unless the court already has jurisdiction and the claim needs no new jurisdictional support;

(2) a short and plain statement of the claim showing that the pleader is entitled to relief; and

(3) a demand for the relief sought, which may include relief in the alternative or different types of relief."

There are reasons Damore's is longer but still concise.

That is what I gathered reading his own damn lawsuit. At least he's helping to put his lawyers kids through school. So in that respect he is contributing to society?

Nobody pays for these things up front. It's almost certainly on contingency.

It's weaker than Damore's on the legal issues, but by a politically protected class.

Does he need to prove he's a disabled queer tranny? Or is claiming to identify that way enough to make you a protected class.

I'm sure they can point to a history of screeching as proof he says he's these things, but I'd imagine he'd need something more concrete.

It's pretty obvious he's actually a queer tranny. Just like generally you don't have to prove you're really a Christian and not just faking it, unless somehow there's actually a dispute on the issue.

Lol I'm just imagining someone claiming to be discriminated against being gay, being accused of faking it, and then having to suck a dick to prove it.

Article covering recent google lawsuits:
https://slate.com/technology/2018/03/google-discrimination-lawsuits-roundup-allegations-denials.html

Kind of sounds like the typical SJW shitfest where no matter what you do, you're still wrong. So all the lawsuits accuse Google of either completely different things, which is hilarious.
Google's biggest loss in this clusterfuck of lawsuits is that their hiring policies may to have to satisfy multiple criteria that are all diametrically opposing, this is going to make hiring way more of a pain than it ever needs to be.

It'll probably end up costing them significantly more in resources for hires, but I don't think it'll have too much effect to be honest.

They're so massive in size, with so many employees (almost 80,000) that they can easily just shift things around internally to prioritize whatever they want to or create new projects to balance things out.

Also because of the sheer scale of Google they already have so many offices its possible that they may end up prioritizing hiring in other locations where they won't get as much scrutiny:

https://www.google.com/about/locations/

With such scale it makes me wonder at what point companies like Google, Apple, Facebook etc can actually become so large that its almost impossible to actually force them one way or another. Its difficult to know whether they're just pissing around with these sorts of lawsuits and efforts at "diversity".

Multinationals can hire and operate globally, but that merely mitigates the damage from pulling out from high impact job markets. Silicon Valley and America in general is a very good place to hire people.

That said, I’m all for giant multinationals investing significantly in non-Silicon Valley job markets. They get worse workers for more money, and those job markets improve after a while.

Giant wealthy companies can be quite hard to influence, but they do look at their margins and bottom line. Money is not irrelevant.

Neither is reputation. If they get a reputation as an utter shithole to work with those FUCKING WHITE MALES and Asians who keep their servers running, they'll find it hard to get quality employees. Their services will gradually deteriorate and leave them vulnerable to competition. They already have a reputation as being evil.

I've been lurking without an account for a long fucking time, so I just want to point out a few things.

Tim Chevalier a.k.a. Kristen Chevalier a.k.a catamorphism, has been an ugly zit on the face of the tech industry for a long time. They were originally based in Portland, Oregon, if I am not mistaken, and their crowning achievement was rallying against the founder of Mozilla, getting him ousted from his own company, for voting in things she didn't like.
Sources:
https://modelviewculture.com/pieces/killing-the-messenger-at-mozilla

Granted, this was a long time in the coming, as you can see here:

https://tim.dreamwidth.org/1844711.html

I also don't have the link anymore, but somewhere in that catamorphism page, Chevalier implied that they decided and moved on to transition without her then-husband's knowledge. EDIT: AH, here we go. Courtesy of archive.org.

https://web.archive.org/web/20090531205314/http://lafalafu.com:80/krc/transition.html

Also, they expected their job to pay for their transitioning procedure.

https://money.cnn.com/gallery/pf/2013/02/21/transgender-debt/2.html

Considering that Chevalier is God's own prototype of a troon lolcow, why doesn't she have her own page?

And, anyways, late edit to the latest edit: the point of my post here is to demonstrate two things: 1. she's been known in tech circles for her repeated attempts to subvert workplace hierarchy according to her political beliefs, 2. she might qualify for attempting litigation in mala fides.

This is a person who, after repeated attempts by her employer to explain why her behavior was stepping out of company policy, was dismissed from her place of employment and now attempts to seek redress over lawful dismissal via litigation. Further, she has a history of being disruptive (as I demonstrated with the Brendan Eich case) in her workplaces if they do not conform to her politics or worldviews.

In other words, she's starting shit with Google because they didn't do exactly what she wanted and when she wanted, and once the first witnesses for defense testimony come out - and Brendan Eich should be fucking jumping at the chop for some sweet revenge - it'll look really, really, really bad for her.

Also, the entire narrative as told by her lawyers reads like a story of tragic martyrdom, because how dare Google dislike overt politics in a workspace. You may notice they used the word 'bullies' to describe the people who were likely harrassed by this proverbial tumor of a human being.

I'm going to bet she's the one doing the harrassing to the 'white males' she hates so much.

I did some digging, so I can start the thread. Granted, it would be my very first thread on this fine site and as such, a learning experience with the format. Bear with me.

First, their wiki names: https://archive.md/NT0Wc
'Monadic'.

https://www.metafilter.com/168651/M...ed-erroneous-outdated-social-science-theories

CTRL+F 'Tim Chevalier'; she sure does have an agenda against her own group. If you're white and a biological male, watch out.

https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=12579017
CTRL+F 'Brendan Eich', you'll find attribution directly to Tim Chevalier for ousting him from the company that he fucking founded. Also read gnarbarbarian's take on it. She does this on a consistent basis.

A few more pearls:

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2018...tive-employees-tried-to-demonetize-breitbart/

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2017/11/22/exclusive-google-refuses-to-disavow-political-violence/

During his time at Google, Chevalier changed his Twitter name to “Punch all the Nazis,” a meme that has been pushed in the progressive media and is frequently used by the “Antifa” movement to justify violence against peaceful Trump supporters, who they accuse of supporting fascism.

In public Google Plus posts, Chevalier also repeated an argument in favour of political violence against alleged purveyors of “hate speech.” He expressed these views as recently as August 2017.

Say what you will about Breitbart, but I'd say it's pretty spot on to what's known about Chevalier. But wait, there is more!

During his time at Google, employees say that Chevalier was at the forefront of efforts to purge conservatives from the industry. According to one current employee of the company, he was actively assisted in this by Google’s HR department.

“Tim has gotten conservatives in trouble by telling all of his followers to report a targeted individual to HR for nonexistent rule violations” says the former employee. “At least one person was fired this way. The company encourages workers to police each other through mob action. They put up posters in the hallways advertising the HR reporting hotline. Most Googlers are terrified of crossing Tim because the company will always take Tim’s side, no matter who is right.”

Then there's this:
https://www.laurenbacon.com/its-different-for-leaders-lessons-from-mozillas-ceo-appointment/

See the list there? Those are the people that leaned heavily on and essentially harrassed Brendan Eich until he resigned.
