I don't play it nor Minecraft but from a 5 minute look, I don't think (but don't know for sure) there is an user-generated assets type system. So unless he's going to try to hit up corporate /w his.. high-school book-cover sketchbook as a portfolio, I don't think that's it.
His thing about "enough energy" also makes me think he's talking about streaming.

His technical skills have always been sort of shit - Tim said it himself in one of those moments of bridge burning honesty "I'm a hyupe man through and through"

The problem is Tim will self-sabotage again when he gains traction. He's already set himself up with "not enough energy" -- that's the thing where even if there is a spark, when the realities of work (when you have to do it to pay the bills even though you just want to get high and doodle) hit.

The worst part was the "video evidence" . Back when he was in the Bay Area being a world famous pretend indiegamedev , his side hustle was that of an indiecamwhore on Chatterbate.
well, not sure if it was a side hustle , for a while he went "all in" (oh, shit sorry, pun unintended AND traumatic) on it as Tim does. Oh he actively advertised it on all his stuff. He was especially proud of having fucked a jar of peanut butter (don't ask me about erection dynamics or if he was just smashing it in there sooft-serve...don't know, don't wanna know).
As with all things Tim, I think he got an initial cash hit (even told his patreon membrs to donate to the videogame museum he was volunteering at) and thought it would grow or be long-term viable only to have it be a novelty spike. So he rage quit b/c girls (he was fully a 'girl' at the time) with vaginas were oppressing him by making all the money -- a'la Assigned Male

It's not a lie - rather it doesn't match Tim's pipe dream. His internal fantasy narrative aspiration is/was, essentially, flashdance...small town (sorta) girl, an unsophisticated welder by day, s the traditional dance world with her passion and out-of-the-box raw aggressive rockin' jazz-dance style earning her a place in trad conservatory.

It didn't work out, it wasn't going to work out. The market is saturated with competence and the compiler (or did Tim use interpreted systems) simply does not care about your passion and edginess and the idea of eating shit for a while and actually learning and/or gaining experience BEFORE striking out on your own is an anathema to Tim.

Worse is the idea of "success" - Tim's only idea of success is fame and independent wealth.
Like his conception of musician is solely "rock star" (not a broadway pit musician, or a teacher or a session musician --- or an accomplished amateur who is artistically accomplished but makes their money elsewhere - those simply won't do), his idea of indie game success is, to put it in a word - Notch (Persson)
stylistically, he wants Phil Fish, etc to be/have been more successful (that's his pipe dream) so Tim talks that up aspirationally to legitimize that. But that would never sate Tim's ego and need for $

eh, just a look at his internally, eternally bitter state of mind while I check in to see how the meltdown timeline is progressing.

1) bump into thing that at least gets some form of traction
2) go "all in" , dumping any other opportunities
3) get bored, insult customer base, quit doing the work
4) abandon the one thing that was producing in favor of doing random activities b/c "fun"
