The [img] should essentially never be used outside of chat. It does not save disk space on the server because we use an image proxy to protect your IP address and to ensure people do not rely on bad third party services like Imgur for image hosting. I hope to have a fix from XF soon.

It's funny considering that every character in the show was hurt in all forms. Yet, he spergs when his favorite character (basically his insert of himself) gets harmed.

Didn't this guy got involved with those Goanimate spergs? Smells like:
Amazing
Unique
Totally
Interesting
Sometimes
Mysterious

So, can someone explain to me why this cartoon brings out such degenerate behavior? I know every fandom has its freakshows, but MLP is like a magnet for this kind of shit.
It's the songs. There's some weird quality to it that both hypnotizes people and makes them act slightly more exceptional after the fact.

I've seen a few episodes of the cartoon, mainly because I wanted to see why this cartoon is so popular with adults...and...I don't get it.
It was written originally by the same person who made The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends (it goes even more downhill rapidly after she's gone). Her shows tend to focus on psychological decay in their cast as a means of emphasizing their personalities. From the extremes being presented, people tend to find someone to proxy onto, and proxying is a way to keep a rather strong fanbase attached like hungry parasites.

That and the songs. They make me reflexively cringe personally, but I've watched otherwise intelligent colleagues of mine lose their minds over them and sing along like they have no shame. The sheer optimism either draws in those already on board or the pessimists that need it as a guilty pleasure.

By don't get it, I mean I don't get why people feel they need to worship these cartoon horses. Based on what I've seen, it's a well-written show, and has good voice acting, but I can point out a LOT of cartoons that have both of those qualities and better animation. So I fail to see why this show has such an effect on people.
It pushes both the furry agenda and the "being a kid again" niche. There's a strong pull there, especially around the 90's kids demographic.

Name whatever deviant fetish you want: pedophilia, plushie fucking, bestiality, vore, rape, etc, the list can go on and on: and someone in the MLP fandom has covered it. And not just a "someone", MULTIPLE PEOPLE.
The same can be said pretty much for any mainstream talking animal niche. Look at Sonic and even less anthro-based media like The Lion King.

Please don't joke, this is serious.
I like shipping Spike with female PONIES not with other dragons. I have shipped him with other species before but don't anymore because it just feels weird to me.
would YOU like it if someone stuffed u in a suitcase?

no, this character abuse crap has gone too far, and it needs to stop now.
My sides.

Sorry for the correction, but Lauren Faust didn't make the Powerpuff Girls or Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. Her husband, Craig McCracken did. She did work on both though.

Getting back to the matter at hand...

Seems like she's listed on her LinkedIn as a Storyboard Artist and Supervising Director while having only directed/wrote a few episodes for PPG , but she was Head Writer and Supervising Producer for Foster's Home. The influence from the two does show in MLP at least (especially when compared to later episodes once she was gone).
