According to Verlisify's logic, he's cheating.

Why does he care about someone's Animal Crossing island?
With Pokemon, it's kind of understandable because of the competitive scene, but don't you play Animal Crossing mostly by yourself, and at most can visit other people's islands?
the competitive Animal Crossing scene is more intense than you think.

For real though, IIRC, there's an option in New Horizons that you can set some people as "Best Friends" and those people can do actively interact with the island, while normal visitors can only look at the island. This explains those landing pads you've seen in some multiplayer AC:NH articles about stuff like trading.

Can he just stop.
And this is after he was against the Melee tournament getting canned due to emulation usage.
Also, warned us with what? You gave no warnings whatsoever. You just managed to make a 10 minute video on a news piece everyone regurgitated.

This 1 minute and 19 second video is of another YouTuber named Abdallah Smash. As you can probably infer, he is a Smash Bros. YouTuber, as well as all around Nintendo YouTuber. You may be wondering why we're talking about him.

Well, who would've thought.
Keep in mind the audio is mute and we only see what looks like talking, nothing else, for one minute and 19 seconds. And verlisify takes that and clickbaits it to fuck, spreading it to 10 minutes.

There must be enough people doing this for him to hire an attorney.

The video of him is down below.

I wonder if it bothers Verlis that now it's easier than ever to build legit Pokemon at a competitive level and his ass still can't win to save his life.

There was a cheating problem in Pokemon, these days it's so easy to get legitimate competitive teams cheating really isn't an issue. Do people still do it? Probably, but who cares when you can compete on their level legitimately very easily? This Wolfe thing feels like a former prize fighter shit talking a major rival well after his career is over.

Cheating in Sword and Shield isn't the most easy thing to do when you consider the fact that switches on the market today are only hackable if you're willing on buying a dongle that has some rather shady history behind the team, Team Xecuter, but people probably cheat. There's also the very real chance of your Nintendo account being completely banned from going online if you do hack at all anyways. Either way Official Pokemon tourney's have MANY ways of checking legality that's even stricter than what's already available ingame.

The basic Switch system is only hackable if you have an older console, given that many of the newer systems were patched upon release, including the Switch Lite series. Right now, the most common method of hacking the console is using the recovery mode bypass in unpatched systems, which involves removing the right joystick and jigging the pegs at the bottom in a very specific sequence; doing it wrong can fry your system. You can purchase RCM jigs on Amazon for cheap, and as someone who owns a hacked Switch, you can easily avoid getting your account banned by simply exiting Homebrew and rebooting before connecting to online services. Hacking AC:NH in any capacity is liable to get you banned faster than dumping your Pokémon save files and maxing out your competitive teams, and you can even have hacked Pokémon in your boxes with no penalty. You can more or less avoid any repercussions if you play it safe.

Yeah, but it's not really worth it anymore. Like Cable said, it's a bit shady, but at least in the Pokémon spheres you are at low risk of getting banned. Putting in all the effort to set up your switch for haxx is annoying at best and not really worth it if you only use it for PKHex (a Pokémon save editor). Unless you really plan on doing illegal shit with it, like downloading pirated copies of games and what not, there's no reason to bother with it. You can easily grind for the items you need now.

I didn't even know that this gen the switch was harder to crack, but even last gen it was easy to obtain competitive teams. Mind you 3DS was so easy to hack it was a joke, but even back then competition wasn't something people did and felt like "oh man that guy only won because of hax!" unless they were a narcissist, let alone now. I was made aware of Verlis like 4 years ago, it's weird coming back and seeing him still on this same shit when it's clearly so no longer relevant. Mind you, he was right where I expected him to be: in a lolcow thread.
