I haven’t touched most Japanese pop culture with a 10 foot pole for years but the troon fixation on anime girls never ceases to amaze me. I said it in the thread on the recently deceased Yuki Rose but it’s worth bringing up here because Andreas was one of the cows who made me a regular lurker - it’s interesting how almost all trannies are knee deep in the far left identity politics bullshit and would normally get pissy about cultural appropriation, but anime girls are such an integral part of the internet AGP subculture as “transition goals” that the weeby losers who get a raging boner at the thought of dressing and acting like one, and in some cases give themselves Japanese names despite being lily white, mostly end up getting past the radar. (It goes without saying that there’s nothing wrong with enjoying anime and Japanese culture in moderation, it’s just that these trans weebs take it too far when they make a fool of themselves on the internet and let the fetish/obsession dominate their lives)

Just to make some clarification: most weebs (and yeah i include weeb trans ppl here) know anime is escapism and it shouldnt be taken as trying to reflect reality.

Its just theres a very new phenomena among tumblr pastel people that are trying to find validation in anime manga culture.

Theres an explanation about why its happening now (yeah dubbing and localization companies are to blame) but you can see the disparity by comparing reddit pages about franchises and their actual target audience: love live reddit is filled with id pol people getting mad at you if you tell them you are a guy, but if you actually have gone to a love live concert you only see sweaty male otaku singing the cute girl song.
