I just read about this “New Age Bimbo” movement rising on TikTok. At first glance it's women reclaiming a derogatory term used against them and dressing up hyper femme, often with a Y2K edge. Cool.

Upon hearing them, they’re also acting like dumb bimbos, on purpose. I thought it was about showing being femme doesn’t make you dumb? So you’re dressing up femme and acting dumb? Uhh... Apparently they're “subverting expectations”.

So, they dress hyperfeminine and act dumb. What expectations are they subverting again? Anyway, it doesn’t need to make sense, it's a “radical leftist” movement supporting LGBTQ+, BLM and sex work, for “bimbos, himbos and thembos”.

On the final look it's young girls dressing up as fetishised sex dolls, going as far as to use the “bimbofication” hashtag. While TikTok is generally dominated by a few popular “bimbos”, on instagram these tags bring up both teen girls and adult fetish sex workers, including troons, of course. That’s okay tho, because bimbos support LGBTQ+ and sex workers, remember?

I took as much text as I felt was appropriate, without quotes, memes, or copypastas and then entered it. Weak female got rounded up to female. Weak male got rounded up to male. Out of eight users 5 were male, three were female.
