i do wonder how that dovetails in with the troon and autism comorbidity. it's a bit of a tough one because the autism-hypoempathy-hyperempathy question is already pretty tangled: there's autismos who have, for example, an advanced empathy for animals and a justice sensitivity that spurs on passion and activity for animal rights, but in the same sentence can't apply basic cognitive empathy to something beyond their own experiences because People Is Hard.
I think you are looking in the wrong direction here because the loudest and most blatant narcissism in the trans movement comes from the AGPs who aren't autistic (that is, there are AGPs who are also autistic, but they are not leading the pack and setting the trends and getting all the attention) and the autists who get drawn in are just aping that behavior because it's acceptable and they never get pushback. That is not to say that non-AGP online trans spaces don't encourage narc behaviour as well, but that is just what happens in social groups with no accountability, whether they are full of autistic people or not.
