Wasn't quite sure where to post this, but this got suggested in my youtube recommended today and given the recent case against Tavistock and the damning CQC report, I think it's worth a listen and discussion.
"Marcus Evans is a Psychoanalyst in private practice and formerly served as Consultant Psychotherapist and Associate Clinical Director of Adult and Adolescent Service at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust."
He and his wife worked for the Tavistock trust in gender services. Many clinicians and parents had raised concerns about children with co-morbid conditions not getting thorough enough treatment/assessment before being put onto pathways for hormones. He also brings up that the trust's relationship with Mermaids was concerning.
2021 is gonna be an interesting year for this place, I'm sure of it. With the CQC looking over them like a hawk now, something will have to change, but from the sounds of it there is definitely a political push influencing the clinical treatment of kids under this service.
