One of my favorite trigger warnings is scopophobia. In the real world, it's an anxiety disorder characterized by a morbid fear of being seen or stared at by others.

What happens when a triggersnowflake becomes an adult who must function out in the open to keep a job? Do we have any examples?

I used to know someone whose own name became a PTSD trigger because of severe harassment from her parents, so I've got a soft spot for what constitutes a trigger. Technically almost anything could be one. But Tumblr's cheapening of trauma by adopting it as a costume... Dare I say, it's appropriation?
