I think her old ED article mentioned that she spent some time stealing Schkyzm's identity on other sites, so her taking the name of someone else's character or username is unfortunately par for the course.

And yeah, there's constant donut steel drama in most of the fandom, especially since a lot of "original" species are just rebranded canines or dragons 90% of the time. That said, Adiago's art style fluctuates noticeably when she gets inspiration from a new artist and seeing her rebrand her creatures with a different look every single time she finds someone new to copy while trying to claim originality is more than a little tiring.

Not to say that one can't get inspiration and grow their style through that, of course, but Trish sometimes steps well over the line into straight up identity theft, especially if she feels the artist she's copying has wronged her in some way.

The transphobic shit may not be important, especially not here on the farms, but Adiago overreacts to it every single time so it's worth it's weight in gold. Here's a fun little interaction where someone politely informed her of another artist's pronouns so she could delete a whole single letter and she pitched a fit about how they were "harassing" her.

Holy shit, that prize was a lot more than I expected. I'd heard that the contest was for a couple hundred bucks or something, but I guess that was just the second place? Even still, that's a pretty big prize to sneeze at, Adi.

Obligatory Art Critique since I'd never seen her entry before; Looking at the piece she submitted in general and it's... weird. Like the background and the seagulls look fine, but the closer you get to the foreground and characters the wonkier and lazier it gets in regards to perspective, depth, and detail. The weird flat flagstones of the road are fine with the path in the far distance, but the closer they get to the viewer the less they look like flagstones and more like they're painted onto the flat surface of the road. Why the fuck do the characters look cell shaded and are distinctly outlined when every other part of the piece is painted? Was the contest to put pre-drawn cutouts onto a background? They look like cardboard cutouts in comparison to everything else.

this is my personal feeling on the thread as well. peak adiago drama was around 2011-2016. there really hasn't been anything lulzworthy since then aside from her brief ban and drake species sperging, which isnt much compared to the shit she pulled years ago.

Hate to necro this thread but Adiago just posted a big fat journal about how she can reclaim hairlizard designs from people who paid money for them at any time if she decides she doesn't like that person anymore, and doesn't have to refund them the money that they gave her for them in the first place because they "broke the contract", whatever the fuck that means.

I sincerely wonder whether this "contract" she's talking about is one that's always been applicable to her work, or one she's rewritten over the years to include more restrictive terms of service. Also the bank repossession analogy is ridiculous and really would only apply to failing to pay the bank the allocated costs or the bank itself. If the work is paid for, even if there are contractual stipulations involved, the bank can't really repossess it just because you, say, dumped the manager. Or got into an argument with one of the tellers.

I did a bit more digging into her TOS and screen-grabbed both just in case they change any time soon. Her contract does stipulate that the purchase of any hairlizard designs can be reneged and resold by her at any time, especially if she decides she doesn't like the buyer for any reason, and doesn't allow other people to resell her designs or trade them, demanding that they be returned to her (likely without refund). This also seems to apply to any paintings or toher pieces commissioned from her involving her original species, although she graciously will let the original purchaser keep art commissioned by other artists. She can reclaim the designs she made at any time and resell them with minor tweaks down the line, all without having to repay the commissioner for the money they gave her for the original piece.

So, basically, if you buy a rift or veil drake or whatever other spergy furdragon space critter from her, you don't really own it. It's a rental. It's unfortunately pretty typical for original species donut steel folks to do this, but the complete lack of any sort of return or refund for the person who purchased it is shady as fuck. There's no promise that Adiago won't just fabricate some bullshit about why you don't deserve her characters and steal back a design that you paid upwards of a couple hundred dollars for (if her commission pricing's page is to be believed) and flip it for profit, especially if there's more bonus work you commissioned her for attached to it.

It's interesting that in the first commission TOS it claims that she will never sell prints of the art featuring other people's characters without consent or sell them to third party sites, but does not consider character designs bought from her as characters truly owned by the purchaser.

So it seems that the character(s) she's repurposed are those belonging to their ex, FirefoxInc or whatever. She's already reselling them and expecting buckets of cash for all the fuck art she did of them and reclaiming the character as hers, on the grounds that since no money exchanged hands she's within her rights to own the character she gifted to him or whatever.



Not to be that person, but I'm pretty sure gifts legally can't be reclaimed by the gifter. Not sure how that works with digital art but yanno.

Also pretty sure retconning your ex's character into a rapist to justify why your character ate their babies (what) is kinda fucked.

Okay I'm done. Just wanted to document this since I haven't been checking in with Adiago much at all but by the looks of it some shit has gone down that could have some potential.

I'm sure the small claims court is going to love looking over your TOS; when you gave your friends these OCs, did you make them sign any agreements? Or was it just assumed in good faith that once you stopped being friends you could just steal back the shit they paid hundreds to thousands of dollars for?

Edit: So it seems that a redesign was done by a different artist. While looking through material for the Furry Art Freakshow thread I stumbled upon the revised piece that specifies the character as a non-canonical drake (since Adiago has clearly disowned Ravensmoon for daring to pay a different artist to modify a character she technically owns). Also the revision artist for the new design sheet is genderfluid or whatever; given what Adiago thinks about trannies and genderspecials I wouldn't be surprised if that alone is what caused her to chimp out on Ravensmoon.

Edit: There was a spoiler here critiquing her species but it was very long and very redundant so here's the short version.
Thinking more about her species setup and realizing that they're just stereotypical space hillbillies.
Consider every other race inferior on the criteria of basically nothing but their own superiority complex? Check.
Weird fixation with reproduction and heavy repression of homosexuality for fear they'll catch the gay gene and go extinct? Check.

I see this shit all the time with NPD folks but regardless; a gift (made or bought) that was explicitly given to someone with the intention of being theirs cannot legally be recinded and stolen back by the person who gave it, and whether its a physical item or a digital concept is irrelevant. Adiago might (big word being might) be able to argue that the paintings she did of her character fucking FFI's were a shared gift (dubiously), but the character reference or Deimos's design itself probably wouldn't be considered her property anymore.

I actually agree heavily with that. Adi's behavior has been nothing short of inexcusable. It's also true that she has had little to no consequences for her actions other than the occasional ban from Furaffinity. And unfortunately, as you pointed out, it's going to be the same way this time. The Furaffinity admins are absolutely abhor when it comes to banning well-deserved individuals (just look at Jailbird), and a month's ban is pretty ridiculous in the long run. All it's going to do is cause a temporary hit to her income.

I feel it very rich that she got mad for FireFoxInc for leaving her after rechecking the earlier thread and in particular that post where she talked about sleeping with some rando and how it's okay because she's "poly".

The only way poly relationships can stay "healthy" is via equal communication, and not just sleeping with anybody who you find attractive on a whim. The main difference between a poly relationship and outright cheating is that both partners are aware of who is sleeping with who beforehand, rather than after the fact, and that all parties are consenting to the activity rather than just the two who are actually boning down

The reason for this is simple; if, say, Person A and Person B are in a poly relationship, and Person A wants to sleep with Person C (who is outside the relationship). If Person B knows and agrees to it beforehand they naturally have some awareness of what's going on, so that if Person A catches any nasty surprises from Person C (STDs/STIs/Pregnancy) then Person B can disqualify themselves from possibly serious legal repercussions, such as accusations of being the person who spread the STD or STI to Person A, or father of the child in question. That way if they don't screen Person C adequately or there is some funny business, then there is a much lower risk of Person A spreading something to Person B, who might be caught unaware if they don't know about Person A and Person C until after the fact.

When someone in a polyamorous relationship is cheating on their partner(s) by withholding information of who they're sleeping with until after the fact, they put everyone in that relationship at risk of catching STD/STI or feeling socially pressured into raising a kid that might not be theirs. Additionally, cheaters won't typically screen potential outside partners nearly as carefully (either because they're getting off on the general risk or they aren't planning far enough ahead to give a fuck) and it can endanger the health and well-being of everyone in the group as a result.

Adiago claiming to be poly but that that she alone is "allowed" to sleep around (as in her partners are exclusive to her but she doesn't need their permission to fuck beforehand) is a major red flag. Even if none of the other partners in a poly relationship are having sex with people outside the relationship (or even only one person in the poly group) that does not disqualify them from being "poly", or from having a say in who or when or why the other member(s) are allowed to sleep with someone else, especially if there is a high potential for pregnancy or infection from a total stranger.

Are FirefoxInc and Quinn super guilty of sleeping around while claiming to be Poly so it's alright? Sure. Is Adiago a shining example of a "true poly" person? Fuck no.

Regarding Adi's fast turnaround rate for boyfriends as well it's almost sad how quickly she'll throw herself into another relationship so soon after a major upset, but part of narc mentality is to be as performative as possible around people who have "wronged" her in order to give off the illusion that she's doing fine and has moved on emotionally, despite it being transparently obvious to anyone with eyes that Megalo is her rebound.
