Joke's on you, I have the dark theme on. Anyway, at least in Firefox, you can force websites to be the font and colors you want (one way is to go to View --> Page Style --> No Style). It can make professional websites look awful sometimes, but in the case of some designs, it can be an improvement.

In my time on Tumblr I've seen some really bad blogs, but this one I think takes the cake.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go rinse my eyes out.
I would just like to point out that, according to the nearly indecipherable paragraph below that photo, she apparently believes the drumsticks in her hair are actually just large "Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi chopsticks."

This person put too much effort into making their site completely unreadable (seriously bitch make some goddamn opaque text boxes, and the rest of the blog looks like Picasso has an aneurysm while watching Hi Hi Puffy Amy Yumi). I put minimal effort into finding a way to reflect the theme of my blog and make it somewhat readable, no :alog: intended. Tumblrs who make shit like that, you can probably take a few blog layout lessons from Sensei Xemidos here (I haven't properly organized this blog yet so it's just random shit but the side bar will be different categories and such sometime):

For the record, my own blog isn't even serious in case you couldn't tell from the obvious signs like the Organization XIII headmates and the harping about protecting the "oppressed" from "trolls".
Also as you can see I have a background that isn't totally fucking distracting, matches the theme of my blog, serves the purpose of decoration, and the text boxes built into the theme I picked serve to make the whole thing readable. There is just no excuse to make your blog look like someone just typed shit over screenshots in MS Paint and decided to call it a day and publish it; I literally made my blog look like this in a few mouse clicks.
