OK, serious time: I don't drink, smoke nor do any street drug BUT I have no problem with people who do any of those. When I meet someone who does, I just ask them if they know about the risks and accept them, after that I never bring up the subject again because now I know the person have took his decision KNOWINGLY.
Lets be honest, drugs were a problem a few years back because of the lack of knowledge from parents and teens alike, so teens were TRICKED into the addiction, which is something terrible. But nowdays, we're in the information era, you can know anything in a couple of seconds so there's no excuse to say they are acting on ignorance and in this case it's more than obvious... so yeah, I say let them kill themelves, they don't want help, they don't care about consequences, these people are just dumb and don't care, why should we?.
If someone has kids and is worried they'll see these guys as role models or just generally impressed by those guys antics and getting away with it, you just have to show the kids the actual consequences of those idiots actions (jail, health problems, prostitution for drug money, etc) and believe me, they'll be way more convinced by what you're showing them (the truth) than any promise the drug addicts could ever make.

I've always wondered why most people think that the worst thing that could happen when dealing with drugs is getting busted by cops... because to me, it's the other way around; the worst thing that could happen is that nobody stops you until you're dead a few years later either because of the drug itself or just murdered (we know all the potential violence the drug trafficking can spawn).

Prison doesn't do anyone any good. Nonviolent drug offenders are frequent targets of violence and rape in prison. That doesn't help anyone. Plus drugs are, if anything, even more available in at least some prisons than out on the street.
I'd guess most of the meth clowns on tumblr are in their honeymoon phase with the drug. Either they're dabblers who are exaggerating their involvement to look badass, or they're in the phase where their young bodies and minds can snap back from excessive substance use pretty quickly with little ill effect. Maybe they're even more or less succeeding at life at the moment, with jobs or school.
Anyone who'd been nursing a serious habit for years would know better than to glamorize it. You don't see this kind of shit on the serious hard drug forums where people are often a lot more honest about the negative effects use has had on them.
I wouldn't be surprised if Lizard Squad hacked the shit out of Tumblr as a whole.

Prison is a spanking, it helps the drug addicts to take a small break and realize the kind of shit they can expect if they continue doing it; heck, if they have the chance to meet someone who's been using the same drug for some years and how bad he looks, I'm pretty sure they'd at least stop a bit and think if that's really what they want to become. Or as stupid kids, they'll ignore the spanking and continue with their business until they die.
The ones who desperately seek drugs inside prison are most likely beyond any help by that point.
Yeah, we can agree they are just starting with this shit but here's the deal, it's the beginning of the end if they don't stop in time BUT, taking in consideration they are dumb enough to start doing drugs just for shit and giggles, I'm mostly sure they are too mentally weak to stop once the addiction kicks in, even in they are young and their bodies can take the heat, their minds are already gone and we know who controls the whole body...
Bonus point: The fact they are bragging about this shit will only bring them trouble, even among themselves (other drug addicts assaulting the guy with huge amounts of meth and probably killing him in the process); heck, you even said so, in prison they are going to get abused and since these guys are just special snowflakes trying to look badass, well... you know.
Some people already stated this point, right now they are just beginners, but once they are going more hardcore they'll start pawning everything they have to sustain their addiction, then they start stealing and so on. So yeah, basiclly one day these guys will stop logging in and bragging about their stash, the more optimist will think they grew up and quit being dumb but we know the truth (pawning their pc and slowly but steadly getting bankrupt) might be more harsh.
I used to work with a pair of tweekers who had long left the honeymoon phase. Their various dealers used to come into our shared work place to sell them drugs and if they couldn't buy em with money then one would make other "arrangements". They were pretty much the exact worst case for anyone doing meth: got into it because our job was hard and sometimes unpleasant with long hours and slipped down the rung to faces of meth in less than a year.
The more sober of the two used to cry so often because she could see what was happening to them, and i used to watch her budget how much they would need for the week. 2 grand a week vanished into a meth hole on the regular and sometimes as much as 4.

I'm actually kinda hesitant to think they're just getting into this based off their stash sizes. These are bulky bags of meth, smack, pills, etc. Certainly more than enough to OD, & waaaay too much for a beginner. That doesn't make sense though, because they don't look anything like typical speedballin, junked out tweakers.
They're obviously drug addicts, but since they're getting paid to get high on webcams & masturbate (at least a few I clicked on were) I suspect they're embellishing to raise interest in their videos. There's just no way they're tearing through grams upon grams of meth & smack & not looking like they are near death. It's 2015, and now we have intravenous drug use fetishes. Like any other pornography, it's gonna depend on exaggerating things.

A surprising number of people doing meth are professionals/people with real jobs who do it for the productivity or extra time. Going down the "burnout addict" path usually requires an extra push beyond merely being on a lot of drugs. I suspect most of the tumblr kids are mostly the "mythical" casual users who exaggerate for tumblr cred, that or they're looking to score for noods.
Once the cops know who they are it becomes a real hassle for them, because they know they're always good for a possession and/or paraphernalia ticket. I haven't been able to cop any of them as clients yet but one of my work buddies has about ten clients like that.
