TV and Movie Characters You Really Hate -

-Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. Seeing him in the commercials is all I can take.
-Megan from Drake and Josh. What a little cunt. The parent's ignorance regarding how innocent she pretends to be never failed to make my blood boil.
-Every iCarly character, but especially Sam. Oh wow, a tough tsundere who spouts randomness! SO FUNNAY!!1
-Nicole from Zoey 101. As mentioned above, random access humor characters drive me up a wall.
-Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter. Blatant Mary Sue.

I think every character on Spongebob Squarepants is inherently unlikable and bordering on being sociopaths, except for maybe Patrick. This never stopped me from watching the show when it first came out, but I don't think I'd be able to sit through five minutes of it if it were in front of me today.
Patrick has become extremely unlikable as of 2007. He and Spongebob are now even more stupid (Patrick bordering on exceptional) and seem to exist solely to ruin Squidward's (who is now a punching bag) life.

Lois Griffin: Post-cancellation at least. She isn't hot. I hate how everyone refers to her as hot. Her nose is a sandwich half, and she sounds like Fran Drescher with a throat polyp.
Thank you, I'm sick of seeing everyone drool over her. I don't think she's ugly per say, but that huge nose is really off-putting.

That's because the post-season 4 writers aren't writing the characters, but stereotypes of the characters. I mean, they had more than two emotions in the first four seasons, writers.

Lisa Simpson, mostly because of that one episode where she rejects 10 million dollars from Mr. Burns because it came from one of his factories she didn't like.
I hated her after she tried to enforce a tofu turkey for Thanksgiving then disposed of the real turkey after being turned down. There's something about shoving a preachy, self absorbed message down peoples throats that really rubs me the wrong way.
I stopped liking her in the episode where she becomes a vegetarian, when she ruined Homer's BBBQ (although the events straight after were hilarious)
In defense of that episode, the moral was that vegetarians should not look down on meat eaters and vice versa. It was fair and showed faults from both sides. Something that the modern writers seem to have forgotten.

And yes, that was a hilarious episode, I think I want to watch it again.

As for characters I hated: I guess I'm not very fond of the last characters introduced in The Office: Nellie and Pete. Hated Nellie because we're suppose to sympathize with her even though she is a manipulative bitch and Pete because he was a shoe-horned character who only existed to break up Andy and Erin and pretty much throw Andy's character development into the trash. I know latter seasons of The Office were considered lackluster by many but I thought it was a decent effort until they showed up.

Does anyone besides me not like Lucky from King of the Hill? He was the only part of that whole show that I didn't like. I didn't hate him, exactly, but I didn't understand why they felt a need to force him into the main cast, or why the hell Luanne would have a baby with him.

The characters on Girls and Lena Dunham IRL are so completely hateable.
Someone dared me to watch the show so I marathoned the first 2 seasons. All I can say is, I have no idea who Lena Dunham is, what her career history is, or why HBO gave her precious airtime (on what is possibly the single most lucrative network a tv show can hope to be on, due to HBO's longstanding reputation for excellence in television and the media attention that comes with it) to have a show about 4 childish women who do absolutely nothing interesting with their lives.

Yeah "Girls" is just a fatter, uglier, grosser version of "Sex in the City".

A bunch of the writers in my grad school program don't like Lena or girls. Mainly because here we are, studying, taking out student loans, working our asses off on our theses, worrying about how to make the right connections, how to get an agent. Lena Dunham is 27, has won Emmys or Golden Globes or whatever. She makes us feel bad because she has already achieved success way too easily. And part of it had to do with privilege and nepotism.

I won't watch her show, I can't watch her show. The premise isn't interesting at all. And I hate the fact this is what she's turned what it means to be a female writer into. I'm going into a world where female writers have to define themselves and assert themselves. She's one of the reasons I'm not going into half-hour comedy (in addition to it being like a frat, and one-hours are easier for me to write even though I'm a funny person).

And as well, my thesis is a one-hour about a female lead, and two other one-hour pilots I'm working on both have female leads. And they do stuff. With your full disclosure: The lead in my thesis is a masterthief who is avenging her parents' deaths (at the end of each season there is a big ass heist--first season: art institute of Chicago) and at the same time longs for a permanent romantic companionship due to the chaotic path she's taken--with a woman (and most of her interests are straight), which makes it extra harder, the other is a high school girl who is forced to be Satan's advocate (an anti-Buffy) and deals with the thin line between good and bad every day, and the other female lead is the second-in-command turned-leader of a resistance/borderline terrorist group that's taking down a futuristic dystopian, corrupt, US government. All of this is for my portfolio.

And she's like "I'm the voice of a generation!" No you aren't. That is one of the presumptuous things to say. So even people who are studying to become writers hate Lena Dunham and Girls

I hate all the characters from the show "The Big Bang Theory".

* Leonard is a "Nice Guy" (tm)

* Raj is a creepy manchild

* Sheldon is a psychopath

* Howard is a loveshy

* Howard's mom is an even worse version of Barb

* Penny is mean and stupid

* Bernadette is a tyrant

* Amy is a psychopath

BTW I probably hate Leonard the most, he's such a griping, manipulative, pathetic little character.

I've seen interviews with her. She loves to talk about how the show is a slice-of-life taken from her own experience, how it reflects her reality, yada yada. That show does not reflect her life at all. She's got Hollywood kissing her ass, giving her whatever creative freedom she wants. How many young writers get to just shit out whatever kind of content they feel like and have a prestigious network take it and ask for more? She won the goddamn lottery.

Does she really believe that? Does she really believe she has any connection to average people that have to work hard?

Lucky and Luanne's relationship made me so sad. I guess the writers of the show were trying to be funny by adding more frustration for Hank, but all I could think about was how depressing Luanne's future was going to be.

Ben from Slums of Beverly Hills: He's played by that dick from Numbers and The Santa Clause, just so everyone who hasn't seen the movie knows how terrible he is. He plays the asshole older brother, a role that's usually used to be comedic or to create conflict. He does neither of those, although I'm pretty sure he was meant to be funny. I :heart-full: Slums of Beverly Hills and would probably be watching it right now if it weren't for him. They even showcase what an unfunny asshole he is in the trailer:

Yay! I thought I was the only one who hates Leonard the most. Everyone always brings up Sheldon, but Sheldon is purposely annoying, I think you're actually supposed to like Leonard. Not only is the character terrible, but the actor playing him makes really annoying gestures and facial expressions.

What was annoying about Lucky becoming a mian character in KOTH was that the show already had about a dozen more characters who were more interesting and worthy of airtime.

That and Luanne having a kid with him was kind of depressing.

I'm of the opinion that King of the Hill would have turned to shit if it lasted longer than its 13 seasons. Lucky was probably just the vanguard of a whole slew of shitty ideas. They cut it off at just the right time.

You know what else bothers me about Girls? Lena Dunham seems intent on being naked in as many scenes as possible. Now, I don't have anything against a portrayal of realistic male and female bodies, given how tv and film usually wants us to believe that you're worthless if you're not a supermodel. My problem isn't that I find her unattractive. My problem is that her whole show seems to be one big "look at me, I'm special!", right down to her body itself. "Look at my nude form, it deserves an eternal spotlight just like the rest of me!" Also, her boyfriend on the show isn't perfect-looking, but he's way too good looking for her. That's another thing - "Look at how special I am that I attract guys who can get way hotter girls! I'm gonna write a plot about him dating a beautiful and nice woman but then dumping her for me so that the audience can see just how special I am!"

God, I didn't realize just how much I hate Lena Dunham.

Amen, brother. All the sales reps that work with me love this show, and my headshrinker, and my father. This means I get to hear funny interpretations of pseudo-sciency-stuff that the show got wrong in the first place! And Sheldon, the must autistic nancy to grace television, is constantly spouting gibberish catchphrases and being lolrandom. I hate this show, and all the characters on it.

One of the games I play just to amuse myself is renaming TV shows to actually depict what happens in them. So, you know, GoT is, "Better not get attached to that guy" and Law&Order is "From Crime to Time in 60 minutes". Spongebob is, and always will be, "Hey let's ruin Squidwards day!"

And as for my personal least favorite? Joey Gladstone from Full House. That show was on during my formative years, and I remember 3rd grade lunch table discussions where all the girls would swoon over Uncle Jesse. But even as a 3rd grader I hated Joey and his shitty impressions and even worse stand up. He was, even to me then, nothing more than a device to try and score laughs from the lowest common denominator.

I heard TBN is making a Christian remake of Big Bang Theory called, The Exegesis gang. In place of Raj they will have a Catholic, that the other characters tolerate, even though they cant stand his wacky rituals.

What especially annoys me about The Big Tard Theory is that some accomplished scientists like Neil deGrasse Tyson have appeared in it. I mean, come on - Neil Tyson doesn't look like he's starving. Why does he (and some others) have to appear in that fucking idiotic show? :(

TBBT is nerdface. A way for the normals to laugh at nerds who probably did better in life than they did.

I hate the entire cast of Power Rangers Megaforce. I might dislike one or two rangers on a team, but all 5? Wow.
