TV and Movie Characters You Really Hate

I see a lot of the ones I hate were covered (everyone in Girls, Lucky, Stabler, assorted Family Guy characters, Lisa Simpson, etc). I like unsympathetic protagonists when done right. Peggy Hill is an example: she's an idiot know it all, but really amusing when in the spotlight just to watch her get ripped to shreds. Lucky, on the other hand, has none of this. Peggy, for all her faults, is at least a good wife and mother. Lucky is just there. His friends are more interesting than him.
While Marie from Breaking Bad is generally loathed, with good reason, she does at least advance the plot. Her heart is in the right place, but damned if her head isn't firmly wedged up her ass. I still don't like her.
Amy Pond was mentioned, here's my two cents on her: she was a great character in the first couple episodes. The Beast Below and Victory of the Daleks (underrated episode ruined by the new Dalek design) had her serve a purpose. She had a perspective the Doctor lacked. This insight saved the day. That said, agree to disagree all you want. She became useless as her run went on.

That is my biggest issue with her. Yes, she loves him, but she could at least thank him for being as awesome as he is. Amy is gorgeous, but being pretty doesn't excuse being a terrible person. Hell, the Doctor treated him better. Asylum of the Daleks would have been awesome if Rory filed for divorce with a valid reason, like abuse.

I don't like pretty much any character of the Cleveland Show. It's a rare case when I find nothing redeemable about any characters. It really comes down to Seth McFarlane being unable to write in any characters that have personality beyond thinly veiled vitriolic stereotypes.

As for the whole Jewish thing someone mentioned a page back, yes he has Jewish writers, and he uses that in an attempt to shield himself from scrutiny. It's like a guy who makes a black joke then says 'Oh I have a black friend'. It really doesn't repair the fact that he has an entire character based around stereotypes and nothing more. He got in trouble for it one year when he was trying to get an Emmy and used a commercial that basically said 'OUR WRITERS OUR JEWS, HOW CAN YOU JEWS IN HOLLYWOOD NOT VOTE FOR US'.

Once again the author wants us to like this character because he's "Cool and edgy".

Seriously though, I'd imagine its for the same reason the girls in the show liked him in Part 1. He's "dark" and "brooding", ooh so mysterious and cool. The whole "tortured anti-hero" shtick

I can't think at the moment who exactly has pissed me off enough in a show aside from Skyler in Breaking Bad. She is the reason I stopped watching it because she never once got what she deserved and I couldn't even understand why I was so angry when her face showed up.

Aside from that, general characters I've always hated are the hip and quirky young kid who is introduced to some main cast to try and be a self-insert for younger people watching. A general idea is: Spike Witwicky in the original 86 Transformers cartoon (although used sparingly, which was a surprise to me), Ahsoka from Clone Wars, SAM Witwicky and the handful of his obnoxious friends in the Bayformers, pretty much any reboot with some supernatural or badass main cast with a snarky rebel kid who happens upon them and is kept around for no reason. These are the absolute worst characters in the show because they are never done right and don't have to really even exist. Kids or teens can go through a show without a token kid being dragged along. It doesn't help that these types of characters are always around just to get captured, misunderstand something and run away and cause trouble, or mess something up for everyone and rely on the adult cast to save them. It's a waste of time and it's always made me get ready to abandon a show or movie depending on how frequent it was.

The former is an annoying dumbass that sleeps around so much that it's ridiculous, and the latter is a corrupt woman who destroyed another woman's career by secretly sleeping with her fiance, and the show fucking DARES to paint her in a sympathetic light at various points in the show afterwards. Fuck her.

It didn't matter what was happening; she never approved of anything he was doing and was always finding a reason to argue with him and try making him feel like shit. Just with anything. Max Payne is a really shitty character in my opinion. The game was really fun but having to hear him ramble on and use poetic terms to describe something every sentence, all in that obnoxious wannabe Batman voice was really annoying. He was also always saved by really dumb luck and took down two big criminal organizations by himself with absolutely no help, which to me screams "Overpowered Gary Stu".

That's true, actually. I know when I get upset with the fiance that I try to get even with the unlikable behavior, but we don't have the issue of a son between us and another child on the way. I just wouldn't have done or said a lot of the things she had done, but I do agree - I didn't WANT her to just be okay with anything he was doing because Walt was handling everything poorly too, which explains how they began drifting apart like that.

I'll never be okay with her smoking while pregnant, though, there's no excuse for that (although I stopped watching soon after, so I don't know how long she went on doing that.)
