We all have guilty pleasures: shows we shouldn't watch but we do anyway. Whether it's reality TV, kids' shows, or horribly bad sitcoms.

Feel free to talk about you TV guilty pleasures here, and don't worry, I won't judge.

I like the first season of Glee and find the second to be somewhat tolerable. Not even I could stomach the rest of it though. I swear, everyone turns into a bigger asshole than they already were by season 3.

From what I've seen, the only good part of the show was the actor who played the green ranger. At least he was trying!

This North Korean cartoon series is one of my guilty pleasures.
The main hero of the cartoon is Geumsaegi, an intelligence agent from the nation of Flower Hill (North Korea) working undercover struggling to foil the dastardly plans of the Weasel (Japan) and later on Wolf (America) imperialists, while also trying to prevent his villainous counterpart, Rat (South Korean) operative Mulmangcho from blowing his cover. The plot is rather complex for a propaganda cartoon: the enemy generals are engaged in a fierce struggle for power, and the main hero gets involved in it. The villains, just like adversaries of North Korea in real life, are much more technologically advanced than Flower Hill: Weasels have ice cannons, giant underwater bases, heavily armed flying robots and crow-shaped ornithopters, while Wolves have laser guns, ornithopters with laser guns, spider mechas with laser guns and giant robotic whale submarines.

Get to the Gold Ranger and imagine he is in love with the Red Ranger. Not that hard really. It's the only yaoi crack pairing I support in any fandom.

The Megaforce actors, while somewhat better than Samurai's, are given far, far worse material to use and come off worse as a result. The red ranger has it really bad. Andrew Grey is playing a stotic character badly and, from improv I've seen of him, is far more suited to a comedy relief/goofball character. Man is too pretty for his own good.

Andrew Gray has a great smile.

Troy has less emotions than the robot on the team.

And I'm not joking about being cast for looks. Samurai got in trouble with it's casting calls that specified a Caucasian red ranger. They changed it to all races, but still picked a white guy to play their Samurai Lord. Megaforce then did the same thing when Sundai Love tweeted she tried out but was told they already had cast a black actor. Since Saban Brands came into power, it's hard to say they don't have a specific look in mind when casting rangers.

Note the racial makeup of the team.

Oh yeah, in the next sentai, the blue ranger is gorilla themed and goes berserk when he overheats. Note the casting pattern then consider the implications. Between that, the sexist undertones (I'm not alone in calling Megaforce sexist anymore! Woo Hoo!), the condescending approach in attracting kids, and the horrible acting, I'm just watching to see how bad things get.

For me, one of my guilty pleasures is Totally Spies!

I know, it got a lot of bad flack for being one of those anime look-a-like shows (and Rika likes it apparantly).

I like the style and the design (mainly when it comes to the villain designs and the fact the girls have a rotating wardrobe).

I also like how there is kind of a mod design to the show (at least for the first few seasons).

And the gadgets they use are really creative.

My favorite character would have to be Clover. Mainly because she makes smartass comments and talks like she's in Clueless.

The most recent season is employing the My Life Me (basically an animated tv show about a weeaboo, I mean, "otaku") technique of having the characters suddenly become chibi-fied, and then have their voices get all high-pitched. Which annoys the fuck out of me. But I still like the show.

I miss it's sister show, Martin Mystery. I really dig supernatural stuff and the homages to famous horror novels and movies.

Same here. I enjoyed watching Martin Mystery. Only channel I found it on was a Disney channel that only had cartoons on it and not the live-action shows they aired.

It's funny, the two shows actually had a crossover a while back.

Hardcore Pawn and Lizard Lick Towing. And I'll reluctantly admit I'll watch Spongebob if there's absolutely nothing on and I haven't a damn thing to do. It's gotten really gay since it's premiere in 1999.

Most of my guilty pleasure tv shows are cartoons. I know it might surprise you but I like "Invader Zim". That show has so much amazingly wierd and over the top things going on that it lets me forget the dull and stressful business things I deal with all day at work.

It's not my favorite though. I love "The Real Ghostbusters". That cartoon was a hit with me since I was a kid and it first came on. Great writing, great animation, creative characters, and great music.

In the live action catagory, my favorite show is "Home Improvement". It's cheesy and the sets didn't even try to look real but that was a good show. Also I like catching "To Catch A Predator" when that's on because those people are train wrecks and I like seeing shitbag pedos getting arrested.

It's a massive guilty pleasure of mine. Luckily, my house-mate shares the same guilty pleasure, so we're able to watch it together and laugh without judgement.
That's where I should have stopped. What I shouldn't have done is used one of the men on the show as an example to my hairdresser girlfriend of how I wanted my hair cut. That opened up a bizarre discussion about 'paedophile hair', that frankly I could have lived without having.

I also really enjoyed the pilot for Drop Dead Diva.
