After watching King of Kong, Chasing Ghosts, and Man vs. Snake, Leo Daniels stuck out as a weird one to me. They never really tell you what he does but they imply he's some kind of pimp/pornographer. He looks like a low budget casting couch guy if I ever saw one. His twitter is mostly him talking about Trump and liberals. Probably worth looking deeper into.

Edit: Just happened to notice while lurking Twin Galaxies' dispute forums there was a Leo Daniels mention. It was a dispute on a score for a game Leo still holds the record on, and when someone suggested getting Leo to give his two cents on the authenticity of the score, a senior member said not to bother because Leo lives in his own world where he is king and doesn't give a shit about anyone else. I would assume this guy has butted heads in the community more than once.

Some more updates on the Billy Mitchell situation, tl;dr Twin Galaxies is circling the wagons over being exposed by a "fails in speedrunning" youtuber:

• Apollo Legend, who made the videos on Todd Rodgers and Billy Mitchell went to an arcade event in Florida that Billy was attending. Apparently he showed up dressed as Billy
• He was apparently recording video and audio footage of Billy while he was at the event. The article in the video (which is incredibly biased, which I'll go over later) believes it was for the purpose of having some kind of evidence of Billy cheating.
• Allegedly he was sued by Billy for this for breaking Florida's two-party consent wiretapping law, even though I doubt that "reasonable expectation of privacy" covers a conversation at a public event.
• Apollo Legend has gone quiet, seemingly as a result of the lawsuit.
• The main source for this is a Twin Galaxies editorial that reads more like a hitpiece against Apollo Legend, portraying him as an annoying investigative journalist stereotype. It says he is "looked at with both disgust and curiosity", discredits his videos on Todd and Billy because other people found the evidence against him, and also that he snuck into the event dressed up as Billy (sure, dressing up as him is a bit autistic, I'll give them that, but most likely he got into the event legitimately)

It might be possible that Apollo Legend is a sperg that's going too far with the Florida appearance, with his video having a hand in the action against Todd going to his head, but Twin Galaxies' nepotistic (yes that is a real word although sounding like nepotism + autistic is a plus) actions have proven them time and time again to have little to no credibility.

Twin Galaxy had one of their own refs and current owner, JAC,E find out some interesting things about Billy Mitchell's record. Long story short: He cheated.

Short story long: On top of the other evidence found, it was found that his record was fradulent due to extended frames. Getting a 1UP was 24 frames instead of 8. On top of this, JACE confirms that Apollo Legend was INVITED to Mitchell's estate, as opposed to the original "snuck in" story. There's more to go on but these are the main point. When that leaked out, it started to make more sense.”

So Twin Galaxies' foray into esports crashed and burned spectacularly before even holding a second split for its first season as they failed to get more than 8,000 viewers, millions went unaccounted for in their budget, teams didn't receive the money were they legally entitled to and ticket sales at live events were virtually zero; they used free drink vouchers and paid audience members in an attempt to lure people in (the LANs were hosted at Caesar's in Vegas).

Most importantly, they also repeatedly lied to investors about their success and ultimately invoked the force majeure clause in their contract in a seeming attempt to avoid admitting that they were broke.

I would not be surprised if TG faced some serious legal action stemming from this. It's incredibly shady.

Since this thread is relevant again, I thought I'd post this since I didn't see it posted anywhere else in the thread:

tl;dr Basically no lawsuit ever happened to ApolloLegend. Billy didn't sue him, but he did get someone to write that article to scare others and make it look that way.
Apollo discusses that he had talked with a lawyer before the entire trip, and Billy literally can't sue him for anything and Apollo would win if he tried. If anything, Apollo can probably sue Billy and/or the person who wrote that article on him for slander.

Somebody reacted to my Leo Daniels post and it inspired me to look him up again. I wasn't disappointed.

He's been tweeting non-stop about some scandal going on with a guy named Bill Pulte. He's getting a lot of traction for a blue checkmark as some of his posts are coming close to reaching double digit likes.

Is there anything worth stealing at a seedy porn casting agency?

He has some instance of word capitalization that reminds me a lot of our favorite cow.

This one was a bit odd. Leo likes to take opportunities to fake flex on people. He bought this watch recently. It retails for between $150 and $200.

It took me a minute to find the line of watches that's from, and interestingly enough, found this on a random law enforcement website.

This is his idea of swole. Fat gut, fat tits, a pack of hotdogs for a neck, and arms that are the result of playing video games your whole life. I'm assuming the girl is one of his "clients" or a family member.

It's not at all germane to this thread, but the Pulte situation bears monitoring too. My first reaction was "But he's dead!" He was a billionaire developer from Michigan. Turns out this Bill Pulte is his grandson, who runs some kind of philanthropic organization. Which includes big money giveaways on Twitter for some reason. Much in there to get the cult-senses tingling. And it's pissing a bunch of right wingers off for some reason. I'll have to dig more.
