I would say he succeeded since people still read his books and remember who he is after nearly 30 years. If his goal was to open people's minds to the reality of industrial society then he succeeded in part. I know many people who would have gone through life unquestioning of the current status quo if it wasn't for him.

And also, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE, lower level and other socioeconomic societal based culture in minority groups and other communities within these repressive hardships that have been needing restructure from the mind to the change that is coming into the mentality of people slow as dial up internet access in snail mode. YouTube might be garbage, but at least their community standards are looser for streamers and they do not have a bunch of troons and deer people deciding your fate. While also monitoring and punishing you for off site shit.

Twitch is some draconian hellscape at this point
