Honestly based on the lack of details on the session, Chris might have just lied to seem like he has friends

His friends are in the other dimension.
D&D sessions work like those long distance session with Webcams and shit.

Switch cameras with ouija board or magical crystal through which Chris can contact his friends in the other dimension.

Any normal D&D group would kick Chris out due to his stink alone. But Chris is a goddess of many means!

He doesn't really say a lot about the actual game, does he? Considering how enthusiastic he claims to be about it, you'd think that he'd mention at least something about the plot, his character beyond the vaguest details, the other players' characters AT ALL, what sort of encounters/threats there were...this is all on the level of a seven-year-old kid writing for a school assignment 'I went on holiday and it was good'. Fuck's sake, Chris, be a bit more interesting.

Chris doesn't give a shit about the actual game. What he likes is building his own shitty one-dimensional characters.

Just look at his history in video games. He dumped thousands of hours into LittleBigPlanet simply because it had a lot of customisation options.

Chris isn’t so much a gamer as he is a modder. The vanilla game of anything is boring to Chris because as the player he feels like he should be able to get away with more stuff than usual and he had an overactive imagination.

For a few years I was really involved with the Paradox Interactive Community. There was a guy who made a mod that was even really popular for EUIII but there was a certain catch to it. The Ottoman Empire and Portugal were always really OP. He claimed that these were for balance issues and to always have a big bad in the game. In reality he was just trying to build his ideal world (he was born in Portugal and a huge fan of Ottoman History) Chris is a more Autistic Version of that guy. Yeah he’s playing the game for stimuli and interaction but ultimately it’s more about his world building.

Chris being chris, he went on a tangent about how many feet or kilometers for our forigen kiwis he "thinks" he can cover running in a single breath or at least will be able to after the merge. Because at present I'd be amazed of Chris could run for more than three seconds without gasping for air
wait so the merge is still happening?

>having an imagination too active for DND
is that even possible?

Even with the Covid-19 situation and lockdown, it seems odd to me that Chris has said nothing more about this since the first session. Maybe he decided that it wasn't for him since he couldn't be a super-powered Mary Sue? Perhaps, but that sits ill with his expression of sheer enthusiasm online after that session. Given that Chris all but lives online, you'd think that he'd be trying to carry on gaming there with his new buddies. But not a peep.

Maybe he actually couldn't stand it (especially given the aforementioned Mary Sue ixnaying) and is just being polite to the other players. However, that would require a degree of empathy and social understanding which appears on all evidence to be beyond his capabilities.

I've theorised in other threads that Chris has taken the basic idea of roleplaying and decided to run with it elsewhere. As he tested the waters with his Magi-Chan bodyswap, he's decided to do the same for Sonichu (since he couldn't take Sonichu into D&D) and has been claiming to have been swapped with his little yellow bum-chum for the best part of seven weeks now. It just seems bizarre that he's dropped the idea completely: when Chris battens onto anything new, he tends to do so obsessively.

And, since we don't know anything about the IDs of the other players (and Chris, to his credit, has managed to keep them secret for once), we continue in this state of ignorance until further developments (if any). Mildly frustrating. I was interested to see where this would be heading. Ah well. Patience. If it happens, it happens.

I didn't know that Chris found a group back in February until I checked this thread again just now. Him not mentioning it since makes me think it either quietly fell apart or he made it up in a half-assed attempt to taunt The End Games. He's shown an ability to hide things from the internet if he wants to, but he's usually vocal about anything tied to his fantasies.

I dunno. I think if the games were ongoing then he'd be dropping hints in his twitter rants. Little bits of D&D lingo, exploits of his self insert PC, rants about his character, that kinda stuff because chris can't separate reality and fiction anymore. I also can't see normal people willing to keep running a game for chris to play in. Imagine chris sitting at a table, its not his action yet, and he's belching, spitting, screeching, rocking back and forth, and when his turn comes up chris goes "but I should be able to do this because I'm sonichu! screw the rules and your story, they are dumb!"

DM's get little respect, and chris would be a nightmare. I have a hard enough time keeping a small group of 30 somethings on point for a game, keeping Chris reigned in is a task suitable for one of Hercules's labors. If it happened, it was 1 game, chris got it out of his system, and probably didn't care for the actual game of D&D that much. I can't imagine the other PCs were comfortable (troll or not) with chris's PC hitting on any character with legs. You know that probably happened in session 1 with him.

Frankly I'm glad Chris has more or less shut up about the whole thing. I'm not all that a fan of d and d, the most I've gotten out of is that 80s cartoon and having read a lot of those novels like forgotten realms back in the 90s (was a huge fan of fantasy literature then had all the Conan books and the similarion)

But even I feel like Chris is being a douche and dragging ANOTHER franchise name through the mud.

We all hate that Chris ruin things we love. He ruins films and games but never on books. Maybe he read comics but I don't think he wanted to even if he bought one.

I would have liked it more if he would have shown ALL of his character sheet and not just snippets just so I could laugh at it, and even replicate it into a monster or something for my group to laugh at too. But I completely agree that I'm pleased that he's passed this 'D&D' phase.
