The difference is the mainstream populace won't see it and instantly change their opinion the way Chris will. Look at what ever pony shit it was where they turned into human girls. He screamed and cried about it and ended up watching and loving it. Same with Sonic Boom he goddamn physically assaulted someone over it and ended up owning multiple copies of the game and watching the cartoon. He's incapable of not blindly loving any media from a franchise he likes no matter how terrible it is.
