Twitter had "Speak White Again" trending because people don't know what the article is about.
The people on Twitter don't understand just how racist Anglo-Saxons are or Quebec's history and how they were treated by Anglo's. Speak White was written during the Quiet Revolution in Quebec (that alone would take to long to write about) and a year before the Official Language Act would be passed. Quebec bashing is so bad that the media in Quebec would actually use that term in it's English form to describe it and the anti-Quebec coverage would see an influx in the 1990's.
As usual, people on Twitter don't know what they're talking about and just proving how racist and xenophobic English speakers can be.
