Sounds like good news.

This was my immediate thought, but who knows what it may mean long-term. There will almost certainly always be ways to navigate the world via the internet for the common man, even chinks can escape The Great Firewall of China, but siloing the internet along political boundaries (so to speak) may have dire consequences as well.
I enjoy being able to easily interact with people from all over without me or them jumping through hoops.
