Pretty sad actually. Back in 07' the crew that made that video used to be part of the Youtube Poop community, and kinda broke off from it. It was not much different personality and lingo-wise from here, i used to be in the same group. Guess the creator needed to clean up his act if he wanted to become a big time streamur, as he always wanted to be. Sad he sold his soul.

I feel like Tyler thinks that the Doom devs he's been speaking with actually like him, after Doom Eternal is out of the lime-light and doesn't need to be marketed anymore, he'll never speak with Hugh Martin again. They're not friends he's just using his influence but for whatever reason he get's the impression that he likes Tyler a lot, maybe he thinks that when they announce a new game or something he'll be at the top of their list of people to talk to.

Do the Doom devs need Tyler's shitty platform though? Other than the problems with Mick Gordon and the Denuvo Anti-Cheat (not to be confused with Anti-Tamper) nonsense, Doom: Eternal has been received very well. I wouldn't say it is as glowing, spotless, and pleasantly surprised as the reception around Doom (2016) was, but it still is held highly in regards to the community. The shared release date with Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch also helped market the game towards an audience that might not have considered it normally. It might have been accidental or a 53rd dimensional chess move, but it is a brilliant marketing move to let the fandoms mingle and market both games for you. The gameplay was viewed as a step up compared to Doom (2016) and people really liked Gordon's sound track. On a personal level, I really liked the game but I liked Doom (2016) better.
To me, Tyler McVicker doesn't even need to be used for marketing. The Doom fans should have that covered.

He's "left" the team multiple times and still made videos about Creators. I still don't understand how he thinks the troll problem will be solved while still bringing attention to the project. Tyler isn't the only reason Creators sucks. He's a red herring and helped solidify the suck, but the project was already showing it's cracks by the time Tyler really tried to force his way.
Won't lie, I do think this entire thing looks really cool to try out.
Anyways TL;DR
Tyler is gone from the team, not a shocker.
Moonly has been booted to Lead developer, and is basically the back plate of the whole operation..
Nanochip (who?) is now the Project Lead.
They want to bring up other community related projects (i.e Uncletopia, Balance Mod) in to make sure it all works out and everything community wise is hunky-dory and made to be all connected for everything and everyone.
New downloadable launcher for the C.TF and as a mod downloader for other things (i.e Master cooms)
The update includes 30 MVM related maps, new achievements special to the game mode itself that will reward you with some goodies, a new version of Austrailium, New Zealium (I think that's how it's spelt), a new crowbar type that's basically the golden pan, new hats, and more special in-game things like helper bots, and more.
He also talks about his this project has been in the works for months, and there has been small drops and ARG's leading up to it.
We get another snarky remark from Tyler about Valve's work ethics, not surprising with the shilling he probably wants to do for the creators.tf team even while gone.
Anyways, as all things go, I'm gonna update you on the view count for certain video's he's made recently.
That Half Life 3 joke video? Now has surpassed the view count of the Frontier video, and is only 5k views from the Back4Blood video. HL3 : 71K B4B: 76K.
So one joke video made more views than compared to other videos with a longer waiting period. Even the April Fools video made more views than the other videos listed.
Checking on some of the previous videos, the Mario Odyssey 2 video has sucked massively, collecting only 15k views, where as from the original post, almost a month ago, it had only 13K views. Yikes.
Some of his older content has gained a bit more viewership than it has now, but not much to significantly change the playing field anyways, besides either coming close or being equal to the Artifact video in viewership.
I'm gonna skip the comparisons this time and bring you the total all together.
There are 9 valve related videos (Not counting the creators.tf just yet) and 9 variety content made videos (with one stream regarding both, so they both earn 6.5K views for fairness as it's currently at 13k views).
Valve videos (starting from his departure of the VNN title): 1.332 million views.
Variety content videos: 400.5K views
30% of the total Valve videos.
Yikes, that's not looking good Tyler. But, let's be fair here and remove the content or videos that were made (according to YouTube) 2 months back, so anything that says "1 month ago" and below are fair game for this.
We are now down to 7 Valve videos and 7 variety content videos (with stream being split)

Variety Content: 291.5 K views
39.47% of the total Valve videos.
Dawg, even with some of the big player videos out of the way, Valve still killing it with the viewership than with the variety content.
Anyways, hoping we get another Zesty Jesus vod about Tyler leaving and if he'd try out creators.tf, cause that's always fun to watch him dis on it.
