Are they seriously implying that the Ugandan Knuckles subculture is going to infect the mainstream media or our children?http://www.player.one/ugandan-knuckles-meme-takes-over-vrchat-122863
Some game journo wrote an article on the topic, and although mentioning that the meme was based on the Ugandan film "Who Killed Captain Alex" and that the main demographic of it is adolescents who are just joking around, he still believes that the people roleplaying as the Ugandan Knuckles are a racist and rotten gang, and calls for the media and parents to censor the meme and to stop its corruption.

This jackass is fearmongering a goddamn meme about a fucking Sonic character. Some timeline we live in.
life is offensiveall fun is racist and offensive
ban lifelife is offensive
I don't think I'd be surprised if they seriously suggested that.ban life
I've already seen plenty of Ugandan Knuckles twitter accounts already.Would it be too weenish to make a Ugandan Knuckles Twitter account just to annoy these people with?
The fact a studio from Uganda whose work was more or less the reason this meme exist endorses it (or is rt'ing it), it only shows the people offended are furries who think Ugandans must really be offended by an autistic meme that was used in what was more or less a clone of Second Life. Not only that, but the studio that made the movie the meme is making fun of, Nabwana IGG, actually finds humor in it and is retweeting it on their Twitter page, unlike the dozens of upset Tumblrinas trying to put words into their mouths.

"WTF is Ugandan Knuckles!? (Overview/Analysis)"To be fair, most of the subreddit is still filled with these memes and raid requests with little complaints other than "the meme is annoying now", so most of the players are still relatively chill when compared to the virtue signalers.
