Since the other, older thread on this subject seemed to devolve into a meaningless debate over "whether or not college is worth it/a college degree is useful," I decided to create this new one for specific examples of lolcows/instances of lolcow sperging found in the campus environment, as opposed to stuff like "gender/ethnic studies is a lolcow discipline" (very true, but not worthy of a thread on the Farms).
Example #1: The Evergreen State College
Vice documentary about the whole deal. Apparently even a liberal/progressive professor can be called a "literal white supremacist" for not buying into some dumbass idea that campus SJWs came up with.
I guess this whole "controversy" came about because someone decided to reverse a campus tradition of "day without black people" (when black people wouldn't show up to class in order to show everyone what they contribute to the campus, something like that) and decided to do a "day without white people" in order to, idk, make the campus a "safe space for POC." A professor disagreed with them and the sperging ensued, as you can see in the video.
Example #2: Yale University
Here we see Yale students (students who apparently made it through the extremely selective admissions process that the Ivy League entails) screaming at a fucking sociology professor because...they don't want to debate, they want to cry (or something?). Also this sociology professor is a cishet white supremacist because reasons.
ETA: Now that I remember, the sociology professor and his wife were like "dorm parents" to some dorm at Yale and there was a "safe-space" controversy and the wife wrote an email to the effect of "college should be about teaching students to face challenges head on instead of hiding from them" and thus, sperging ensued.
