Unlawful moonshine still -

  • Intermittent Denial of Service attack is causing downtime. Looks like a kiddie 5 min rental. Waiting on a response from upstream.

It's only unlawful if you sell it without a license. Making it for personal use is fine.
I couldn't tell you off hand but you can make a comically large amount for personal use per year tax free.

Much like anything else in the world legal or not, profit is king. Even the good/respected shine makers sell mostly the cheap white lightning, now from the good people their cheap shit won't make you go blind but it'll burn like the dickens.

The good stuff, is worth every penny but like any legal bought booze takes more time and care. If you are looking to make your own, give it time and make good stuff. It's a rather simple chemical process.

You also don't have to go full still to make your own booze safely. I suggest making some beer at home using a kit, get a feel for this stuff before you go nuts building a still etc.

Learn everything there is to know about foreshots, heads, hearts and tails and where to cut them.

EDIT: especially foreshots. That's the stuff that kills you if you fuck around with it.

If you've never made beer, start with making beer. And do it till you can do it correctly every time.

Because if you don't have the patience and skill to get that right, trying to make moonshine will fucking kill you.

A bad beer will at least only taste like shit, unless you colossally fuck up and get some sort of bacterial growth from letting the fermentation turn into a rot. But then it's REALLY obvious you fucked up because you can fucking see it and it smells like piss.

Sugar, distiller's yeast, water. That's all you need to get drunk tbh, no need to get fancy.
