Unpopular opinions about movies. -

Congratulations. That is an actual unpopular opinion worthy of the thread. LOTR is about as good an adaptation of the books that could ever be made (in the absolute last time in history that they could have been made before the Age of Wokeness,) but if High Fantasy isn't your bag, they're probably not going to do anything for you.

Halloween has some decent direction, some genuine scares, and a really good performance by Donald Pleasance. It also embodies the mischevious, sinister spirit of Halloween and in that way, it's a cut above other slasher movies, which were all about lining up a bunch of dumb teenagers and mowing them down in creative, over the top ways.
I can second not liking the LOTR movies. I did not like the books either, I preferred Eragon. I was a teenager at the time, thought LOTR was too damn boring. Might like it more as an adult, but probably not.

The Interview sucks. I think you have to be high to enjoy it because Seth Rogen is so unfunny and annoying I started rooting for the Norks. Stale reddit snark about "Kim man bad" isn't controversial, it's the safest political message ever because 99% of people agree with it. Edgelord libs like Rogen love to act transgressive but his basic bitch political opinions don't fool me. Skip and read a Cracked listicle from 2006 titled like "10 INSANE Facts about North Korea You Won't Believe" instead.
It had a peculiarly high number of jokes about sticking things up your ass.
