• Safiya Nygaard is too privledged for me to watch her anymore. Must be nice to get a job at buzzfeed right out of college and turn that into a huge channel where you waste thousands of dollars in every video and you get to sleep until fucking noon every day.
• Coyote Peterson’s videos are way too slow. I had to unsubscribe because I always had to run his vids at 2x.
• Simplynailogical wearing sweatpants everywhere even to work is gross. She even wore them to an award show once.
• Most of the guys who record dead mall videos look like creeps.

The term "nerd culture" in itself is cancer.

Strongbad even references this in one of his SBEmail episodes where he says something like 'I used to get emails from girls in college dorms, and now I'm getting emails from kids in middle school'.

It's hard to believe it's only been about a decade of people using Youtube as a legitimate income but I'd have to say:

I think we're going to have a lot more DSP-lite e-beggars in the near future as these "influencers" start getting older, didn't manage their money well, don't want to get a real job, and no one gives a shit about them anymore.

Youtube is a huge waste of time when I can be surfing kiwifarms, reddit, or reading.

Watching youtube has helped me pronounce dictionary worthy words that I have been mispronouncing my whole life. Audiobooks also help me pronounce words like SAT or GRE tier words that nobody in real life ever says. Youtube does have some value.

Despite being a pedo exploitive piece of human garbage I legitimately think Onision is the hardest working person on YouTube.

I mean think about it. He's been there since 2006 making shitty music and sketches and hasn't even slowed down as of today. Right now he's making videos for fucking no one and yet you can expect at least 1 sketch a week sometimes 3. Not to mention all his vlogs and twitch channel stuff

I think you might on to something. Cody Ko & Noel Miller of the Tiny Meat Gang podcast were discussing their recent tour and how little money they made from it. These influencers are probably not paying their taxes and Uncle Sam's coming for that ass.

I think monetization was one of the worst things to happen to Youtube.
